Team Durango DEX410 Ultimate & Race spec

Team Durango DEX410 Ultimate & Race spec

Team Durango have released further details about the new DEX410 buggy together with the release date and pricing. According to Durango, the buggy was originally conceived pre ‘credit-crunch’ and is a no-compromise specification with a huge number of new features for the class, all of which is reflected in the price. Team Durango considered not launching this high spec car and launching a dumbed-down version instead, however racer interest has been so high, and running costs seem to be much lower than current cars out there, that Team Durango will push forward with the ultimate spec as the launch car. The company will however later release the buggy in a more cost friendly version, called the DEX410R which is expected to launch around September with a standard specification and perhaps even the class standard ball differentials. Expect the DEX410R to have a street price of around $390 (€306, £270), while the ultimate launch spec DEX410, expected to be released in late June, will be around $650 in the shops, which is around €510 or £450 in Europe when sales taxes are added.

Associated have released a pair of MGT Limited Edition Flag body RTRs. Available on both the MGT 4.6 and the MGT 8.0, these limited edition red, white and blue trucks not only look good, they deliver the ground pounding power and torque that you have come to expect from a Team Associated MGT. Reinforced to handle the massive power the engine delivers, this car comes factory assembled with the all new XP3D FM Computerized Digital Radio, the Pro-Start engine starting system, a 2-speed automatic transmission with reverse, eight coil-over oil filled shocks, full precision ball bearings, specially designed Team Associated all terrain tires and with a flag body design. The MGT 4.60 SE sports the AE 4.60 engine which has increased displacement of 33%, making this car deliver more horsepower and stump-pulling torque. The rugged extruded aluminium chassis, oil filled shocks, and huge mounted all-terrain tires give the MGT 4.60 SE over 4 inches of ground clearance, letting you take that power over almost any obstacle.

Diggity Designs XLR8-V2 Conversion

Diggity Designs XLR8-V2 Conversion

Diggity Designs new XLR8-V2 is a carbon fibre and aluminium conversion kit for the Associated TC3 and TC4. The V2 has a newly designed chassis, top-plate, LiPo brace and battery strap for optimzed LiPo and brushless racing. The chassis is narrower with the weight on the battery side moved back to level out the balance of the motor and electronics. The motor cutout is open to allow mounting of any brushless motor, while the LiPo brace can be mounted in one of three positions to help balance the kit out from left to right without adding lots of weight on the battery side. The V2 has a 2.5mm chassis, top-plate, LiPO brace and battery straps (instead of 3mm that is included with the original XLR8) along with 3mm front and rear shock towers. The new chassis and top-plate will help improve performance for asphalt but still keep its performance at top level for carpet racing.
