HPI Brama 10B RTR Buggy

HPI Brama 5B RTR Buggy

Details of the HPI Brama 10B have been floating around for a while, but HPI Europe have only released the official details today. Based on the E10 chassis, the car has full-time 4WD for maximum traction, longer arms and bigger shocks for top handling, plus a racing buggy body shell and massive rear wing for custom looks and race-style handling. With a sealed shaft drive train and pinion/spur combo, you won’t have to deal with rocks or anything else getting stuck and slowing you down, you can keep the hammer down and power out of any trouble you might get yourself into. The spiked tires and coil-over shocks front and rear will just keep going and going, biting and clawing through dirt, grass or mud Completely pre-built and painted, the Brama 10B is already fitted with reliable HPI radio gear, servo, electronic speed control and a powerful motor to get you up to speed in a hurry. Just add your own stick pack battery for the juice, pop some AA’s in the transmitter and you’ll be getting airborne and dirty in no time.

Motonica P10 1/10th scale 200mm

Motonica P10 1/10th scale 200mm

Here are the first images of the all new Motonica P10 1/10th scale 200mm chassis. Shown for the first time on Sunday during the 1/8th scale EFRA GP in Cassino, the guys at Automodel.net got to take some photos as well as a video of the car being presented. The pictures, while not showing a completed production car do allow us to see what the car has in store, such as the low centre of gravity and very low drive train, while seemingly staying away from the very stylized look that the 1/8th scale cars have.

X-Factory X-60 Conversion update

X-Factory X-60 Conversion update

X Factory have announced November 1st as the preliminary release date for the X-60 Conversion. The new conversion is suitable for an AE T4 truck to convert it to mid-motor, similar to the popular X-6 buggy. Photos show several interesting aspects of the new truck, firstly the mold for the rear control arms is done, and the Team is using production prototype arms.  Since the beginning of testing, not a single graphite arm has failed, so this part of the program is complete. Second, X Factory has decided to go with a carbon fiber battery strap instead of the current molded strap. X Factory president Chazz said the following about the project –

We are closing in on it, and the release date is looking more and more doable. All the decisions have been finalized and now it’s a matter of making the parts and giving them a final test to make sure they’re OK. There are lots of potential stumbling blocks between now and release, but this project has been going more smoothly than anything we’ve done before, so I hope we can meet November first. The chassis mold is about one quarter done, and we hope to have production prototype chassies before the end of this month. The Boyz will start testing immediately, of course, but that will allow us to move forward on many other things.  We’ll finalize the body at that point, an entire new design from one of the top body manufacturers that you’re going to love. And we’ll begin writing the instruction manual, which is never a simple task.

Mugen MBX-6 buggy – First photos

Mugen MBX-6 buggy - First photos

Mugen Seiki in Japan have released the first photos of their new MBX-6 1/8th scale buggy that is due for release later this month. Having already seen multiple CAD images of the car before, the design is not new to us but in these photos it looks to be very beefy with the thick carbon fibreshock towers and big bore shocks, and the car also looks to be very compact and narrow around the mid section.
