CEFX C12 Phoenix 1/12th scale

CEFX C12 Brushless released

A while ago we showed you some CAD images from the new C12 1/12th scale from Josh Cyrul’s company CEFX, well it appears the car is now ready and here are some photos of the new car, the C12 Phoenix. This is the version for brushless motors, which as explained previously had to be made seperately from the original brushed motor version, as trying to make a car work for both motor types would mean too much of a compromise for both.

ALS Racing M242 1/24th scale

ALS Racing have released the first pictures of their new 1/24th scale chassis, called the M242. Designed specifically for use on carpet, the car is powered by 2 Lipo cells or 6 AAA cells and due to its design and construction, as well as newly designed ball differential, the car can achieve high cornering speeds and provide lots of racing fun. This micro scale seems to be garnering some interest from a number of manufacturers with the news that Serpent will release its own car into this class after the new car was spotted at the recent iHobby show in Chicago.

HPI E-Firestorm 10T RTR Truck

HPI E-Firestorm 10T RTR Truck

HPI Racing have released their first electric 2WD truck, the E-Firestorm, which is the product of years of research and the collected knowledge. Ready to go right out of the box, the E-Firestorm is factory pre-assembled and pre-painted, built from tough nitro truck parts and designed using the latest computer software and engineering know-how.

The design of the E-Firestorm is unheard of at the price level it will be offered at – previously, there were only two choices when it came to electric 2WD RTR trucks: very expensive yet fragile watered-down race trucks, or durable low-cost trucks with limited performance. The E-Firestorm is the first truck in this segment to offer tough race-level quality at TRUE Ready-to-Run prices! You get the handling and performance of the top racing trucks as well as the durability and value of other RTR trucks!

Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 RTR released

Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 RTR

Thunder Tiger have finally released their RTR version of the EB4 S3 1/8th scale buggy. We first wrote about the car back in July when our partners RC Mag got some pictures of the car after it showed up at a National race in France. The car, which is available in blue or orange finish, sports a number of innovative features including patented CVD drive shafts that somehow allow changes to be made to the suspension settings, while as per previous TTR cars the front shocks are mounted behind the shock tower for protection in the event of a crash. The car sports aluminium in the place of carbon fibre as per the pro version, but is very well equipped and comes with a pull start .28 motor for power and durability.

Yokomo MR-4BX World Spec kit

Yokomo MR-4BX kit & Conversion set

While the MR-4BX Factory kit by Yokomo was only announced in March, there is already a new version available in the form of the World Spec. The car features newly designed front and rear shock towers that aid the cars aerodynamics through improving the airflow to the rear wing while a new mouting position of the rear dampers aids their durability. The car also features a revised layout for the main components, shifting weight backwards, which helps the cars stability in the air and finally they have also increased the number of tuning possibilities in the upper pivot arm mounts to help you further fine tune the cars setup. You can get the World Spec as a stand alone kit or if you own the previous version you can also purchase a conversion set.

Corally Pro 10 and Formula cars

Corally Pro 10 and Formula cars

I saw pictures of this new Pro 10 from Corally a few days ago and originally thought it was an old car from a few years back but it appears to be new, with a number of sites picking up on it, and also the new Formula 1 chassis. No details are given on either car on the Corally site, but RC Car Action state that both chassis’ appear to have Titanium-fortified Dynamic Strut front ends, 1/12 scale-type rear pods, goo-tube roll dampers and mono-crank steering on the F1 car.
