Team Associated B74 Team Kit 4WD buggy

Following a couple of prototype images, Team Associated have introduced their all-new B74 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The off-road RC car racing scene has taken a turn over the past couple years, with turf and carpet racing becoming more popular and grip levels at an all-time high. The engineers inside Team Associated’s Area 51 were quick to address this trend in the 4WD class with the RC10B74 Team Kit. This completely new chassis design, equipped with a long list of features, is designed to give you the winning edge. Competition levels are more extreme than ever, with several manufacturers producing competitive racing platforms. The RC10B74 was designed with focus on performance and durability. New features like the easy-access, quick-change differential height make tuning for different track surfaces and ride heights quicker than ever. 7075-T6 aluminum bulkheads and arm mounts provide precision and durability, while the updated shocks with increased stroke length allow for more consistent jumping and landing. Also included, an all new rear hub assembly with a modular vertical ball stud mount and axle height insert system to allow the finest roll center adjustments possible. With many other new features, the RC10B74 Team Kit gives you all the performance and adjustability necessary to keep you racing at the front of the pack.

Xray GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit – Coming soon

Xray have announced the soon release of their new GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit. No official details are available yet but it is understood that the vehicle will feature many of the updates the recent GTX8 nitro kit received for 2019 – sans the nitro-specific upgrade of course. Full details about the kit will become available soon.

Shepherd Velox V8.2 1/8th on-road kit – Coming soon

Shepherd have released more detailed information and images of their forthcoming new Velox V8.2 1/8th nitro on-road kit. The biggest update to the previous model can be spotted at the front which was completely redesigned to add more setup possibilities without sacrificing the proven geometry. The new lower wishbones can be attached in three different positions to adjust the arm length while the overall wheelbase can be changed by 2mm. The redesigned top deck offers a completely different flex characteristic for the front end while the rear flex system has been simplified by removing the small ball bearings. The front upper hinge pin brackets can be connected to the new front bulkheads to add further flex options.

Xray RX8 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Xray have introduced the latest variant of their popular RX8 1/8th scale nitro on-road kit. The machine underwent some changes especially at the rear end, in order to improve overall traction. First up is a new, narrower main chassis plate that retains the front shape of the previous model but that became slimmer in the centre and rear section. The rear bulkheads are spaced 8.4mm closer to each other, while the rear arm mounts move the inner suspension pins 2.5mm closer to the centre line which, combined with the bulkhead placement, generates more rear traction and improves the stability of the car.

Tamiya HKS Nissan Skyline GT-R Gr. A TT-01

Coming this June is Tamiya’s new HKS Nissan Skyline GT-R Gr. A kit on the proven TT-01 1/10th scale 4WD entry-level chassis. The kit resembled the car that dominated the 1993 All-Japan Touring Car Championship with the body offering scale details such as moulded mirrors and rear wing. Replica 5-spoke 2-piece wheels round out the body and wheel package with the kit utilising the shaft-driven TT-01 Type-E chassis that can be equipped with a host of optional tuning parts in order to up performance and appearance. The kit will become available this June.

Tamiya M-08 Concept M-chassis kit – Coming soon

Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming new M-08 Concept 1/10th 2WD M-chassis on-road kit. The latest incarnation of the long-running and very popular M-class touring car will feature a rear-mid motor layout and a modular design that allows easier wheelbase changes with 210mm, 225mm and 239mm setups being accessible. The kit comes equipped with a TA06/M-07 Concept-type gear differential, long-type suspension arms, 0 degree front suspension mounts, 2 degrees C-hubs, CVA shocks, universal driveshafts and high-torque servo saver being standard equipment. Also included comes a full ball bearing set. Many of the existing M-07 optionals are also usable with the M-08 and more information about the kit should become available in time for the release.

Serpent SRX8-GT – Coming soon

Serpent have announced the soon release of their all-new SRX8-GT 1/8th nitro GT kit. The car shares many high performance parts from the successful SRX8 platform and in addition to the details carried over from the SRX8 platform, Serpent have introduced many new, design concepts to push the kit well into the future as well as set itself apart from all competition. Full details will become in time for the release.
