For 2012 Vampire Racing took another step forward and introduced two new stick pack LiPo batteries. The first one, specifically designed for touring cars, is a 6800mAh 70C pack and will pump out massive power. The second battery is a 4400mAh 50C short stick pack. The slightly lower C rating and the shorter hard case is the ultimate combination for your 2wd car allowing you achieve the ultimate setup balance with the variability of the shorter case.
The Advantage Touch charger is a new generation of high tech charger from Team Orion. Equipped with a touch sensitive color LCD screen and specialized touch software, it’s a brand new experience in the field of battery charging. The centre piece of this new charger is the Spectra TFT color touch screen which allows you to reach all the different features of the system with ease. The charger itself is an AC/DC unit with 0.1 to 5A output current and 0.1 to 1.0A discharge current and it can handle all the modern lithium based battery types up to 6 cells. Team Orion have introduced the WTS ‘Weight Transfer System’ in combination with a World Champion winning Carbon Pro 90C 4000mAh battery. Weight distribution is an important factor in the setup of the car and racers move the battery forwards or backwards to change the weight distribution. The problem is that the size and disposition of current batteries limits the effectiveness of this setting. To remove this limitation, they have developed a new battery case that uses shorter cells and is equipped with three compartments to fit weights. Thanks to this you can not only modify the position of the battery, but also its total weight and the disposition of that weight within the battery case. For perfect installation in your car, the Carbon Pro 90C WTS battery features two connector positions. This also allows you to shorten your ESC cables for even better efficiency. Furthermore the battery has switched battery polarities between front and rear to avoid misconnections when the battery is turned.

Now available from Speedzone is flexible silicone wire. Available in 12, 13, 14 and 16 gauge, this flexible wire is perfect for all r/c applications. The 16 gauge is especially helpful for the ESC to motor hook-up in 1/12th to avoid tweak while the 14 gauge is a perfect solution for the ESC to battery hook-up. Nosram have released information on their Fatboy 8 brushless motor and Falcon 8 brushless controller designed for 1/8 scale electric vehicles. The Fatboy 8 2200kv motor is specially designed for the needs of 1/8 scale off-road vehicles, is based on the XTEC X12 technology and sports a CNC-machined gun metal colour can, 4-pole/12-slot design, over-sized solder tabs for up to 6mm² wires, extra large ball bearings and a sensored design.

Nosram introduce the Pure 2 modified brushless motor. Newly designed from scratch the BL motor features a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium can with cooling cut-outs to keep the running temperature low, comes with a 12.5mm sintered rotor and oversized ball bearings. Nosram’s PreciSensor system allows for easy timing adjustments using inserts and the motor will be available as 4.5T, 6.5T and 8.5T variant first with 4.0T, 5.0T and up to 10.5T versions to follow.
