Xray XB2D’17 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

Xray have introduced the 2017 edition of their XB2D dirt spec 2WD off-road buggy kit. Based off of the popular XB2 mid motor platform, that also includes a carpet spec kit, the buggy was specifically designed for the lower traction outdoor and indoor dirt tracks with the 2017 edition featuring some subtle changes to further improve handling and traction especially on lower grip tracks. First up is a new chassis with optimised flex characteristics thanks to an increased amount of longitudinal grooves that make for an overall softer chassis, resulting in improved overall traction and a more forgiving handling. New Multi-Flex points further increase the ability to adapt the overall chassis stiffness to suit a range of track conditions.

BMT 984 carbon fibre steering knuckle lever

Italian company BMT have introduced a new carbon fibre steering block lever for the 984 1/8th on-road car. The updated geometry will lead to an easier to drive car while also offering improved overall steering. The part is a direct fit and it features two mounting positions for the outer steering link ball stud.

Xray Lexan 1/8th off-road lightweight rear wing

Xray have introduced their new lightweight Lexan 1/8th off-road rear wing. Designed as a direct fit on the XB8 platform the pre-cut wing greatly lowers the overall centre of gravity thanks to its low weight while the optional centre fins and the pre-bent wicker area make for optimised stability and downforce. The rear wicker area also does away with the class-standard composite gurney flaps while also greatly improving the overall stability of the wing. Moulded-in dimples for the wing mounting screws allow to mount the wing in different positions without the need to make any measurements and the wing is usable on all XB8 platform vehicles including the XB8, XB8E and XT8.

Team Associated RC8B3 FT rigid engine mount

Coming from Team Associated and made for the RC8B3 series of off-road vehicles is the Factory Team rigid engine mount. Using the part will reduce chassis flex and extend clutch bell and spur gear life as it restricts the clutch bell and spur gear area from flexing, saving tooth wear and ensuring more consistent power delivery. The part is machined from blue anodised aluminium and it comes including an aluminium fuel tank standoff and mounting hardware.

SWorkz S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT kit

Coming from SWorkz is the all-new S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT car kit. Based off of the S35-3E platform the car carries over the buggy’s features such as the Ackermann steering system, the front and rear suspension design as well as the transmission with the GT kit also featuring a centre differential. Part of the package are furthermore short GT BBS shock absorbers with Silver Line springs and emulsion shock caps as well as aluminium low-profile shock towers, a fully adjustable suspension using inserts and also a protective front bumper. The kit was developed for 325mm to 330mm wheelbase body shells and it will hit stores very soon.

Arrowmax 1.200cSt to 12.000cSt silicone diff fluids

Arrowmax have introduced several new silicone diff fluids in a 1.200cSt to 12.000cSt range. Available are 1.200 to 1.800cSt oils in 200cSt increments to achieve a finer range of adjustments while 2.500cSt, 3.500cSt, 8.000cSt, 9.000cSt and 12.000cSt oils round out the portfolio in the higher viscosities. All come in handy 59ml bottles and they are available now.

WRC GTX 1.3 uniball arm set

Italian company WRC have introduced a new option part for the recently released GTX 1.3 1/8th scale on-road kit. The new uniball arm set utilises Teflon bushings for the anti-roll bar connections which leads to smoother operation while the overall design allows for easier adjustment. The sets are usable on the front and rear arms of the 1.3 car, they include the ball stud, Teflon bushings and upper and lower mounting hardware but no A-arms.

Answer RC D8-series carbon fibre & alloy option parts

UK company Answer RC has expanded the range of option parts for the HB Racing D8 series of off-road and on-road vehicles. First up is a carbon fibre Ackermann plate that has a second hole set further back than stock to allow for an alternative steering Ackermann set up. The plate is cut from 4mm carbon fibre and it is usable on all D8 series kits including the D817, E817, RGT8 and even the older spec kits.
