Updated Avid B5-series aluminium steering bellcranks

Avid have introduced updated aluminium steering bellcranks for the Team Associated B5-series of buggies and trucks. They offer a revised design and material with the left bellcrank now being made of 7075-T6 alloy in order to improve reliability which was an issue with the older specification especially in truck applications. The new bellcranks still are of a lightweight design for minimal weight gain and they are strong enough to withstand the rigours of racing even on high-bite surfaces and with today’s high-power servos. The set includes the left and right bellcrank and two aluminium crush tubes and it fits all AE fifth generation vehicles such as the B5, B5M, T5M and SC5M.

Team Associated show prototype 3-gear B5M gearbox

Team Associated are currently working on their new Stealth low-profile 3-gear gearbox for the B5M mid motor buggy. A design that’s around for some time, the low-profile gearboxes are a common sight in the 2WD class when running on high to very high bite astro and carpet surfaces and so far only aftermarket conversion kits are available for Team Associated’s B5M buggy. The issued images show a prototype made up using rapid prototype parts with the actual gearbox expected to be of a standard black colour. We bring you more information on the transmission as soon as they surface.

To sum up our exclusive series of stories on Xray’s all-new RX8 2016 1/8th nitro on-road kit, including the making off part 1 and part 2 as well as the exclusive interview with designer Martin Hudy, we now have all details and images of the company’s all-new top-of-the-foodchain 1/8th kit available. The 2016 specification car received a massive make-over that starts with the all-new aluminium backbone in the form of full aluminium bulkheads, layshaft and radio plate mounts to ensure a strong yet lightweight framework while still allowing maximum flex characteristics for increased traction. Beside the bulkheads also the suspension mounts are made up using aluminium for maximised precision and durability.

Pro-Line have introduced the 1973 Ford Bronco rock crawler bodyshell for 12″/305mm wheelbase rigs. Capturing the overall essence of the original Bronco the body features a detailed grill, headlights, body moulding trim and that distinct Bronco look. The body fits trucks such as the Axial SCX10 and Vaterra Ascender and it comes clear, including window masks and a comprehensive decal sheet.

Muchmore 40mm 3D cooling fan guard

Muchmore have introduced a 3D cooling fan guard for 40mm fans. Machined from high-quality aluminium and weighing in at only 3.3g the part sports a black anodised surface and machined silver chamfered edges. The guard was made to keep debris, wires and other parts away from the rotating fan blades and it fits most 40mm units.

Coming soon from Pro-Line is the Blockade 2.2″ front tyre for 1/10th scale 4WD buggies. Designed for loose, dusty or hard-packed conditions the tyre tread features large lugs for exceptional tread life while balanced tread spacing makes for maximum forward bite. On top of this the uniquely blended side tread reduces the edginess, making it also a very forgiving tyre. The Blockage is available in soft M3 and super soft M4 rubber and it includes blue closed cell inserts.

PowerHD LW-20MG waterproof servo

PowerHD have introduced their all-new LW-20MG standard size servo. Being fully waterproof the servo is ideal for crawler and buggy applications and it offers a torque of up to 20kg-cm and a speed of down to 0.16s. It features dual ball bearings, copper and aluminium gears and it is usable with 4.8V to 6.6V input.
