Team Associated RC10TC7 FT touring car

Team Associated have release their next generation of 1:10 scale 4WD electric touring car, the RC10TC7 FT, the prototype of which swept the podium at the 2015 ROAR Paved On-Road Nationals. Coming packed full of Factory Team options and a refined suspension package with precise adjustments, the result is an unequalled level of consistency. The focus was on a more precise feel with updates in suspension component composites and ultra-smooth FOX shocks with Genuine Kashima Coat. The floating servo controls an updated dual bellcrank steering system with a low centre of gravity and refined Ackermann range, which allows the most direct steering feeling for any track condition. The updated motor mount is centrally located to produce the most consistent chassis flex to help keep cornering predictable while accurate gear alignment provides high efficiency, acceleration and top speed.

Bittydesign RC8B3 Force bodyshell

New from Italian company Bittydesign comes the Force bodyshell tailor-made for the Team Associated RC8B3 buggy. The cab forward bodyshell features a sleek yet spacious side pod design with scoops for free throttle and brake linkage movement, the roof top is decorated with a “shark fin” for improved stability and the rear end sports a distinctive spoiler behind the engine section for increased rear traction and improved airflow towards the rear wing. The Italian-made body is moulded from 1.0 millimetre Lexan material, it comes including window masks and a decal sheet and also available is a set of suitable rear mud guards, again made from genuine 1.0 millimetre Lexan material. The body will hit the stores in around two weeks time.

Modelix introduce ceramic bearing .21 engines

Spanish company Modelix have introduced their new range of Ultimate .21 off-road engines with high-quality ceramic bearings. First up is the M-4R, the company’s most powerful engine, with linear power at both low and high RPM. The second new engine is the M-5, a linear engine with excellent bottom end power, making it ideal for 1/8th buggies and truggies alike. Last but not least comes the M-8 long-stroke engine with good power in both the low and high RPM range. All three utilise the new Super Speed Series ceramic ball races that make for a lower engine weight while offering improved corrosion and wear resistance along reduced friction and vibration.

Exotek have new option parts for the Kyosho RB6 and Team Associated B5M buggy available. Starting with the Kyosho part, new is a 4-piece set of big bore damper top caps with bleeder holes. The easy bleed screw design makes rebuilding the shock absorbers alot easier and the black anodised alloy parts come with laser-etched Exotek logos and include M2 hardware and seals. Also new are the B5 rear clamping hexes for HD axle equipped buggies such as the B5M Lite and CE. The precision machined alloy hexes are 6.75mm wide and available in factory blue or black. Coming as pairs they include suitable M2 hardware.

Serpent celebrates 35th anniversary

Established as a brand in Heemstede, Netherlands in 1980 Serpent are currently celebrating their 35th anniversary. Having their roots in 1/8th nitro on-road Serpent nowadays offer more than 30 different cars including on-road and off-road, nitro and electric-powered vehicles. An innovator right from the beginning Serpent also developed and introduced new classes such as the 1/10th 235mm and 200mm nitro classes all of which made their first steps on the iconic Heemstede track nearby the office, host of the 1989 IFMAR 1/8th On-road Worlds and Serpent’s test track since the very beginning. Having won countless World, Asian, European and National titles Serpent is looking forward to yet alone four World Championships in 2016 and thus more possibilities to add more prestigious titles to their belt.

SWorkz S12-1M Carpet Edition 2WD buggy kit

Around for some time in prototype stages SWorkz have now introduced the production version of the S12-1M 1/10th scale 2WD buggy kit. The mid motor carpet spec buggy builds on a 3mm 7075 aluminium chassis that allows for four different battery configurations including shorty, saddle and square packs. The gearbox is of the latest low-profile design with a front-mounted motor, centre layshaft and rear gear differential while the suspension utilises bladder-less large volume big bore shock absorbers, a front aluminium and rear carbon fibre shock tower. The rear aluminium suspension mounts make use of a composite insert system to adjust the toe and anti-squat settings and the buggy is usable with standard 12mm hex wheels or SWorkz’ own “1/8th-style” rear wheels.
