T.O.P. Racing have new front and rear wings for formula 1 cars available. They resemble the “low nose, high rear wing” appearance of 1990’s F1 cars and are made from durable material. The wings are usable on the T.O.P. Rebel R-F01 as well as Tamiya-standard F1 kits and they come in black or white colour.

New from Team C Racing and made for the TM4 4WD buggy is this aluminium Ackermann steering link plate. Designed to replace the kit’s plastic link with a more rigid and durable part, the plate not only keeps the ballstuds held in place more securely but it also improves steering reaction by eliminating the flex of the stock part. The link is machined from high-quality aluminium and comes orange anodised to match the remainder of the buggy’s alloy parts.

Following the Facebook announcement of Kyosho’s Yuichi Kanai to stick with their tried and tested 1/8th buggy platform (for the 2014 IFMAR Worlds in Italy) now also SWorkz announce that there will be no new buggy for 2014 despite the good tradition of many manufacturers to introduce new platforms ahead of important races. However the Asian company will have several new option parts such as the “LDS” Lightened Drive System with new driveshafts, bearings, gears and more, along other new upgrades to make the buggy “Worlds ready”. More information will become available in the near future.

Following the release of the Pro-2 Buggy conversion kit for the Pro-2 SC and the Traxxas Slash 2WD, Pro-Line now release the the Buggy as a full kit including all needed parts to build a rolling chassis. The vehicle builds on a 3mm 7075 low centre of gravity aluminium chassis and included are a vast amount of PL option parts such as the Performance Transmission set, the ProTrack suspension components, PowerStroke shock absorbers and a realistic buggy bodyshell. Part of the package are also Blockade SC tyres and F-11 wheels. The kit comes partly assembled, making it ideal for entry level modellers and experienced racers alike.

Hitec introduce the X1 Pro DC/DC battery charger and ePowerBox 17A power supply. Starting with the charger, the multi-chemistry device delivers a powerful 180 watts with an adjustable charge current rate of 0.1 to 16A and a single output. The X1 Pro design includes docking capability with the ePowerBox 17A power supply upping its ante in convenience and portability. The efficient power supply converts 100 to 240VAC volts into 17A of continuous 13.8VDC power, making it compatible with a wide variety of DC chargers. Made for the Yokomo BD7 and BD7 2014 is the BD7-IIX chassis from Smokem Racing. On the back of the success of their 418-IIX chassis at various international events in recent months, Smokem now launches the latest iteration of their IIX design for the Yokomo BD7 electric tourers. The chassis utilises a proprietary 2.0mm thick “Pro-Weave” pure carbon fibre construction – which is stiffer than conventional weave but softer than a quasi weave. Together with its smooth contoured design, the BD7-IIX chassis provides improved flex characteristics while the thinner construction delivers a lowered centre of gravity for improved corner speed over a wider range of track conditions.

German Sanwa distributors LRP introduce the Sanwa SRG-BZX and SRG-BZX Type-R servos. Both digital servos offer a brushless motor, metal gears and a speed of up to 0.09s with a torque of 15kg-cm at 7.4V input. While the BZX comes with a middle aluminium heatsink section and a plastic upper case the BZX Type-R is an all-alloy type with upper aluminium case for even more durability in demanding applications such as 1/8th nitro buggies and trucks.

Since MIP introduced their Pucks drive system the company made the sets available for a wide range of kits and the latest vehicle to receive the “Pucks treatment” is the B5 series buggy from Team Associated. The Shiny Pucks system for AE’s latest 2WD buggy includes Shiny C-CVD steel driveshafts and outdrives specially designed to use the orange colour crosspin cushions. The parts are direct replacements for the items included in the B5 and B5M kits, make for a smoother and easier to maintain drivetrain and the set also comes with clear silicone grease and blue thread lock.
