Schumacher Cougar KF 2WD buggy

Schumacher Cougar KF 2WD buggy

Schumacher introduce their latest 1/10 2WD buggy kit in the form of the Cougar KF. Seen in prototype stages before the buggy is specially designed for the use on high grip surfaces such as carpet and astro turf. It builds on a 2.5mm carbon fibre main chassis and top deck and features an unconventional drivetrain setup with a traversal mid motor position and a rear belt drivetrain. The central motor layout is meant to offer exceptional corner speed on high grip surfaces without having to worry about the negative “torque steering” influences often associated with longitudinally mounted motors.

GForce Egress aluminium option parts

GForce Egress aluminium option parts

Japanese company GForce introduce first option parts for Tamiya’s upcoming Egress 2013 re-release buggy. First up are aluminium steering bellcranks that are designed for the use with 850 bearings. The parts are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come gun metal anodised and improve the steering rigidity and precision. Next up are front knuckles and rear hubs, again made from aluminium and sporting a dark grey colouring. The parts are made to replace the Egrees’ stock hubs with more durable items plus they add a cool look to the already stunning buggy. Last but not least are the front and rear gear box covers. The aluminium parts improve the precision of the drivetrain and add some strength to a highly stressed part of the chassis. All of the above parts become available this November.

Blacktarmac LSS on-road shock absorbers

Blacktarmac LSS on-road shock absorbers

Italian company Blacktarmac introduce the LSS shock absorbers for a wide range of nitro and electric on-road cars. LSS stands for Long Stroke Shock, a technology that allows the piston to work inside a window where it is away from the mechanical stops for better damping characteristics and virtually no rebound. The shocks feature 7075 hard-coated shock bodies, pistons that are fixed to the piston rods through a screw and the lower cartridge is equipped with a teflon bushing to improve precision and sealing characteristics. Included are also laser-etched spring preload nuts for fast and accurate settings, lightweight aluminium spring cups, as well as an assortment of pistons racing from 2, 3, 4 to 6 1.1mm holes. The shocks fit cars such as the Xray NT1 and RX8, Shepherd Velox V10 and V8, Capricorn C02 and C801, many Serpent 1/10 and 1/8h cars as well as the Mugen MTX5 and MRX5 and the Yokomo BD7.
