Serpent Cobra T-e conversion kit

Serpent introduce the Cobra T-e electric conversion kit for the Cobra T nitro truggy. The set includes all parts needed to convert the nitro truck into a whisper-silent E-truggy, such as a new chassis plate, chassis braces, battery mounts, centre driveshafts, carbon shock towers and body mounts. The battery cups take all EFRA and ROAR legal batteries and allow to install taller packs as well. The set also includes the brand new bodyshell, which is a lot lower, narrower and smaller than the GP version. As usual electronics are not supplied but both buggy and truggy brushless motors fit the motor mount. For now the set is only available as conversion but Serpent may release a full kit and possibly a RTR version in 2014.

CRC Formula 1 prototype spotted

During this week’s International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas CRC is running what appears to be a prototype Formula chassis. The car in question features a double wishbone front suspension with lower carbon fibre A-arms and adjustable upper plastic arms. The rear motor pod looks like a redesigned 1/12 scale slider pod with the chassis and rear suspension being of the now-poplar link-type design to allow the in-line mounting of the battery pack. STRC SCX10 & Wraith suspension options

ST Racing Concepts introduce new option parts for the SCX10 and Wraith rock crawlers. Starting with the SCX10 parts, first up are upper and lower suspension links and a steering upgrade kit. The CNC machined aluminium suspension links for the truck are cut from solid 6mm high quality aluminium and greatly increase the durability while adding awesome looks to your rig. The aluminium steering links replaces the stock plastic links and not only increase the durability but also greatly improve the precision and movement of the steering. All needed hardware is included with these link kits and they come in black, gun metal, silver or green anodising.

Absima Revenge 1/8 brushless motor & controller

German company Absima introduce their Revenge brushless motor and controller series for 1/8th vehicles in the form of the Revenge 1:8 CTM motor and CTS 8 controller. Starting with the motors, they feature CNC-machined aluminium heatsink-design cases with aluminium front and back plates as well as pre-shaped heavy-duty solder tabs. Oversized ball bearings and a large diameter rotor shaft make for added durability while the motors are usable with sensored and non-sensored controller. The can measures 42x69mm and the motors are available as 1750, 1900, 2100, 2300 and 2500kv variant.

JConcepts C4.2 Finnisher body

JConcepts introduce the Finnisher body shell for the Centro C4.2 conversion. The body is of a tightened design, slimming the overall look of the buggy and it sports a smoother high-speed transition with increased airflow making it ideal for high-speed circuits. A centre roof channel improves stability and increases roof stiffness while double side windows create a new look and a small scoop improves motor cooling. The body comes including two 6.5″ Hi-Clearance wings, window masks and decal sheet.

Vampire Racing Type AB+ V2 update package

Vampire Racing have designed a new V2 update package for the Type AB+ V2 brushless modified motors. All new motors supplied from now will include this update already in the box, and end users who have an ‘old spec’ Type AB+ V2 motor will receive this package totally free of charge. The update package includes a new end bell ring, timing plate, timing pate screws with captive sprung washers and new motor can screws. The timing plate is made of a new tougher material, it features an internal timing pip that will not allow the timing to be altered past its desired and designated settings, it also features beefier cap head screws with sprung washers for a more secure and solid fitting and new screws are also provided for motor can assembly. Customers who wish to upgrade their existing motors are asked to contact their local dealer in order to receive the free update package.
