Yokomo B-MAX2 MR EP buggy

New from Yokomo, the latest evolution of the B-MAX2 now allows the rear gear box to be mounted in either mid-ship or rear-motor configuration. An increasing number of races are being held on high grip surfaces such as carpet or artificial grass and the mid-ship configuration allows a more centralized weight distribution which dramatically improves handling and cornering speed. The rear-motor configuration is more conducive for common dirt off-road running surfaces as it provides more optimal traction and coupled with the newly developed cab-forward body shell, the result is a very refined and balanced handling characteristic. And equipped standard with items such as the highly reliable big bore ‘X’ shocks, and the newly designed rear ball differential, the latest kit is ready to take on a variety of racing conditions.

WRC Racing STX EP touring car

WRC Racing, best known for their 1/10th F1 chassis, the F-One 200, have released the first pictures of their new 190mm EP Touring car. Another brand to enter the market this year, the STX has some unique features the most noticeable being the ‘upper’ deck which utilizes two plates of carbon running perpendicular to the chassis plate to create stiffness. Along the length of the braces are struts which can be removed to increase flex. The steering servo is centrally mounted as is the norm using a very low and lightweight solution, while the steering/Ackerman plate moves along pins instead of pivoting on a central point. We can expect complete details when the car is released at the beginning of December.

Serpent Cobra buggy rear springs

Serpent have introduced new Cobra buggy rear springs. The new springs have less coils, less wire than before while retaining the same length. The new configuration means a more progressive character to increase steering, especially on corner entry, and also feels more stable on landing. Each spring is ground flat, individually checked for straightness, paired in sets of 2 and are color coded as before. The springs will fit many other brands of cars with 16mm big bore shocks.

Pro-Line have announced their new Big Blox 1/8th buggy tire. Customers and Racers continue to demand higher and higher performance out of 1:8 Buggy Race tires while also requiring tires that last longer and longer.
