Hot Bodies Gridlock tire

Hot Bodies’ new prototype Gridlock tire utilizes design features creating a tire that will be easier to drive while also providing a linear amount of steering gain throughout the steering travel. The Gridlock tire will make the car more stable and easier to drive on track conditions where the dirt is hard packed with some sharp edged bumps. Another condition the Gridlock tire performs great in is where the track might be a little too dusty for the Megabite tire but not loamy enough for the Megagrid tire. Hot Bodies Tires are known for their long life with low tread wear, the Gridlock tire’s tread wear life will be greater than that of the Megabite tire providing the consumer with a tire that performs very well and also has a long life.

KO Propo EX-1 images

Having brought you the very first photos and detailed information about the new KO Propo EX-1 yesterday, we have sourced more detailed images of the transmitter with a focus on the modular K.I.Y. system. As explained before the radio allows you to assemble it in modules using the Steering, Throttle and Master units and as such you can configure it to just the way you like it. There are optional steering modules, for a lowered steering wheel and also for a stick option which gives you a hybrid pistol stick result, something that goes back to the original transmitters from the 70s and 80s. We are told by KO that there is a lot more to this radio and we will be given an in depth run through at the Nuremberg toy fair in 2 weeks.

TLR22 Brass weight system

TLR has released a new rear motor brass weight system for the TLR line of 22 vehicles. The new brass weight system allows racers to add a total of 14 grams of weight, in 7 gram increments, to the top of the transmission. It comes with two 16mm button head screws to secure the two 7 gram brass weights plates and the brass plates are laser etched with the weight of the brass weight and the TLR logo. The added weight to the rear of the vehicle provides more forward traction when exiting a turn. TLR has found that less weight is needed when mounted on top of the transmission compared to mounting the weight between the bulkhead and transmission case. The location of the weights also allows for easy access for quick tuning.

Acorn Racing 1500mAh & 1100mAh RX packs

Acorn Racing have released their new line of receiver packs. These Lithium based cells housed in metal cases were specifically designed for use in nitro-powered cars, buggies and trucks that require a stick / hump pack configuration. Small in size, light in weight, makes these the optimum receiver packs for today’s racing car design. These packs are made smaller than the new generation LiPo and LiFe receiver packs in the market, does not expand and has an operating voltage between 2.3V to 4.2V per cell. This pack can be used together with today’s LiPo-compatible high voltage servos and receivers for even more steering speed and torque.
