Mon-Tech TCR body, Stiffener set & Mi3 LiPo mount

Italian company Mon-Tech Racing have contacted us with information on a number of new items that they have just released. First of all is their new TCR body shell which has been designed for maximum performance thanks to the front end design and narrow cockpit that allows a free flow of air to the rear wing. As with all Mon-Tech shells this one has been made from high quality polycarbonate and come supplied with decals, window masks and overspray film. For 1/8th scale on road shells their is a new body stiffener set that have been molded at two 45 degree angles for extra rigidity. The set includes 3 stiffeners for each side of the shell along with a rear trim strip. Finally, for the Schumacher Mi3, are 2 machined braces that allow the car to easily accept a LiPo pack, and thanks to the weight of the material used and in positioning the battery further out from the centre line, it helps balance the car perfectly.

Often considered as the true racer’s color, they claim that gun metal option parts allow you to put on aluminum parts in subtle ways on your vehicle and that all components still carry the same high quality material and precise CNC machine work that you have come to expect from their products. RC Devil PC10H2 200mm pan car

German company RC Devil have been in touch to show us their latest project, the PC10H2, a 200mm pan car, with plans for a 235mm version also in the works. Based on some Hatzenbach prototypes made by Achim Schulz, this car will be released in a small series and features an innovative dampened front end as well as centrally located batteries and a lot of practical innovations to make it a very competitive car. Made using the highest quality materials, they expect the car to be available in April, with a widening kit to make it to 235mm to follow shortly after.

Xray XII Thicker Chassis & Rear pod

New from Xray is this optional CNC-machined 4-cell chassis for the XII made from 2.5mm high-grade graphite material with a specially-designed compound for carpet racing and asphalt racing. The chassis layout is optimally designed to provide proper stiffness for excellent handling, while being flexible enough to generate good grip and traction. This thicker and therefore harder chassis is best used in higher-traction conditions and should be used with the 2.5mm rear pod lower plate.

Awesomatix Touring car photos

We’ve seen the CAD images of the radical new Awesomatix touring car chassis that is being designed and produced in Russia, and now we have some good quality photographs of the first car. As we have said before about this car, The two outstanding features are a new patented suspension dampening system, smooth, lightweight and with a low centre of gravity, which is fully adjustable without the need for disassembly and the compression and rebound dampening rates are controllable and consistent. The other thing is the drive train that combines the benefits of shaft and belt drive systems, without the negative side effects such as so-called ‘torque steer’, associated with shaft drive RC cars.

Using high performance LiPo technology, this straight sport pack style case with end caps will fit Tamiya mini series cars as well as 1/8th scale electric buggies. PSM Racing have released yet more machined parts for the Hobao Hyper 9 with the introduction of this set of suspension balls. Made from blue anodized high grade aluminium, they coming a set of 4 and while adding some bling to your car, they are the perfect fit for the Hyper 9’s composite ball joints thus reducing any unnecessary slop in the steering.
