Werks Racing go 100% pre-mount

After months of testing and development Werks Racing have announced that they are offering pre-mounted 1/8th buggy tires which will mean the giant step of going 100% pre-mount only on their 1/8th buggy tires! Werks Racing will no longer be selling un-mounted 1/8th Buggy tires and say the reason was simple, ‘which driver in their right mind wants to glue tires?’ To offer one of the best packages in the industry the US company has taken their complete range of 1/8th buggy tires and matched them with 2 of their other recently released products. The new “white” super consistent, medium compound molded insert and the new low weight, large diameter 1/8th buggy dish wheel. These have been combined with a proven “Italian” gluing system for an inseparable glue bond. All of the components will be manufactured, assembled and glued in Italy at an attractive and affordable price.

Manutech TC5 Brass battery plate

Proj3kt Gr33n Racing and Manutech Inc. have come together to design and build a new Lipo weight for the Associated TC5. This weight is machined from brass and fits neatly into the TC5/TC5R/TC5F. The weight of the plate comes in at about 190 grams and features a number of battery slot sized extrusions that prevent it from moving around. This weight can accommodate many of the flat bottom Lipos that are on the market and has been tested and designed around the SMC 4000/5000, Trinity, Orion4800, Pro-match, Thunderpower 5000, and Reedy packs.

Boca MX Engine bearings

Boca MX Engine bearings

The Boca Bearing Company have announced the launch of the new MX Engine bearings for radio controlled engines. As radio controlled engines have evolved they have become more powerful, use more nitro fuel and come under greater thrust loads, than in the past. The nitro content can dry the thin, stock bearing retainer very quickly which makes the whole bearing susceptible to premature failure when subjected to high radial and thrust loads. Boca Bearing is introducing the MX Bearing line to solve these specific issues. MX bearings have a unique, new internal design to increase load capabilities, which allows the bearings to work under harsher operations where shafts come under excessive side and radial load. These bearings are available in both a standard high-speed version with either chrome steel balls or races or as a ceramic hybrid, with ceramic balls and chrome races. Chrome steel is used because it is harder than stainless steel but the races are also cryogenically processed to attain an even harder surface. A stronger, thicker retainer material has been used to allow the MX Bearings to hold up under high nitro content fuel and Grade 10 balls are used to give a closer tolerance to enhance performance.
