BMT 984 hard anodised aluminium front axles

BMT have introduced a set of hard-anodised aluminium front wheel axles for the 984 on-road car. The 7075 alloy wheel axle shafts are a direct replacement for the stock parts and they are designed to scrub both unsprung weight and rotational mass, resulting in improved suspension efficiency and quicker spool-up. Additional machining further scrubs weight and different sets of cross pin holes allow to use a fresh pair of holes once the actual start to show signs of wear, improving the lifespan of the parts.

KO Propo show prototype laydown trigger system

During the recent Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions KO Propo have shown their new prototype laydown trigger system for their range of competition pistol grip radios. Using a more natural motion of the finger allows for constant contact of the finger with the trigger, improving the feeling of throttle and brake as there are no gaps between the finger and trigger/brake lever. The entire trigger assembly is movable forward and back to accommodate hand size for the grip and the finger guard, that looks like a brake lever for the trigger, can also be shimmed to fit different size fingers and tilted for added comfort. The whole assembly is still a prototype and is now being tested for durability with an excepted release date being sometime next year.

SchuurSpeed Xtreme Spec V4 stock brushless motors

Around for a while but only officially announced now are SchuurSpeed’s new Xtreme Spec V4 stock class brushless motors. They are engineered and designed in Southern California to EFRA, IFMAR, and ROAR specifications and feature an extremely short stator for maximised RPM and low internal resistance as well as the latest rotor design using a high-Gauss 1600+ magnetic material mixture.
