Huge R/C Products, the brand of former IFMAR ISTC Touring Car World Champion Surikarn C, have announced that their high traction R36 compound slick tires are now available pre mounted. The tires come glued onto white dish wheel and use the new Huge soft tire insert, which is also available separately.

The Bar pattern was designed to have maximum forward bite on hard packed clay tracks, while droids control the side bite. Combined together, the 10droid has optimum traction and a long life span. JConcepts has introduced the Pressure Points, the latest low-height tread option specifically designed to tame high-speed courses with either wet or blue groove traction conditions. The design starts as an angular, low pin design as a carryover from the successful Bar Codes front tire line-up. The small “points” combined with ‘lower case’ Y elements developed on the original Bar Codes V1 rear tire provide the ultimate in surface area pressure penetration and tack. The inner side-wall has built-in ribbing which limits carcass collapse and increases support on the outside during hard cornering and driving. Designed to be driven hard while maintaining the grip necessary to drive at the limit, the edges of the side-walls have been carefully rolled for a smooth transition during corning which limits traction-roll characteristics and allows the driver control during the all important tipping point every driver has experienced. Available in Soft (Blue), Super Soft (Green) Indoor Soft (Gold) and Outdoor hot (Orange) compounds.

Contact tyres have introduced a new range of pre-glued 1/12th scale tires suitable for 1/12th circuit cars. After a huge amount of testing of natural foams and with the help of team drivers Paul Lemieux and Chris Kerswell they have entered into the market with Contact 1/12 scale tires. To help the driver they have decided to keep the same colour range of the main brands in this market. Trued to optimum diameter of 44mm for the fronts and 46mm for the rears they come pre glued on special Contact rims in white, which has been extensively tested for perfect strength and flexibility to provide the maximum traction.

Shepherd Micro Racing has introduced another line of foam tires, ‘Shepherd tires by Matrix’. For several reasons they are a class of their own. Already before the first step of the production an intensive quality management ensures an excellent performance of the tires as all raw material are checked with special equipment to guarantee the correct shore hardness. The computer aided manufacturing makes sure that all tires meet the high quality standard. A special lightproof and airtight packing foil allows the tires to be stocked for a long time without affecting the quality or performance of the tires. The final result is a tire that has excellent traction combined with low tire wear. They will be available on white standard rims as well as on black carbon rims. The carbon rims are about 12% lighter while the stability is also increased.
