Rickside Design 12mm hex tyre sanding tool

Rickside Design from Japan have introduced their new tyre sanding tool for the use with 12mm hex wheels. Lightweight and compact the adapter is usable with most rotary tools and its 12mm hex adapter allows to sand 1/10th scale buggy and truck wheels as well as 1/10th touring car tyres, making tyre prepping easy. The long threaded inserts allows to use large offset wheels such as truck tyres and an O-ring equipped thumb nut ensures reliable fixing of the wheel.

Pro-Line introduce new pre-mounted SC tyres

Coming from Pro-Line are four new pre-mounted 1/10th short course tyres on the Raid removable hex 2.2”/3.0” wheel. The range will include the Badlands SC, Trencher X SC, Sling Shot SC and Street Fighter SC tyres all of which come mounted on the new Raid removable hex wheel that allows to easily change the offset of the wheel to fit different applications by simply changing out the hex. The wheels include a pair of 12mm Slash 4×4 front/rear and Slash 2WD rear hexes as well as a pair of 12mm Slash 2WD front hexes that fit the most popular trucks. Optional 14mm, 17mm and ProTrac offset 12mm hexes are available separately to fit other applications. The pre-mounted tyres come as pair and including closed cell inserts.

Pro-Line Fugitive 2.2” rear tyre

Pro-Line bring the Fugitive tread to 1/10th size with the Fugitive 2.2” rear tyre. The Fugitive was developed to be the longest lasting race tyre ever produced while still being quick and agile. The Fugitive 2.2” tyre comes standard with Pro-Line’s long-lasting closed cell foam insert. When combined with Pro-Line’s S3 compound for high grip tracks, the Fugitive easily has the best performance to cost ratio of any Pro-Line tyre making it perfect for many European-style outdoor tracks. The tyre is available in M3 soft, M4 super soft and S3 soft compound.

Traxxas Rustler 4×4 Sledgehammer tyres

Coming from Traxxas and made for the Rustler 4×4 monster truck are the new Sledgehammer tyres that provide extreme traction on a variety of off-road terrain. The Sledgehammer’s increased diameter provides improved ground clearance while the open-block design clears away mud and debris for exceptional traction on loose surfaces. They are perfect for both the Rustler 4×4 and Stampede 4×4 models as the increased diameter provides additional ground clearance and the extreme open block tread design clears debris for unmatched traction. A new heavy-duty wheel design provides additional strength and the eyes are sold pre-glued and ready to install.

AKA Scribble 1/8th buggy tyre

AKA have announced the release of their new Scribble tyre for 1/8th buggies. Inspired by the popular 1/10th buggy Scribble, the 1/8th scale version continues the trend of exceptional performance right out of the bag and superior wear characteristics. The innovative Scribble tread supports the tread and the carcass at the same time, necessitating a new carcass design. This combination of the new carcass and the supportive Scribble tread pattern promotes even wear across the entire width of the tyre for consistent performance run after run. Testing of the Scribble has shown it is at home on indoor tracks as well as hard pack, low dust outdoor tracks. The initial release of the 1/8th Scribble will be in Clay compound with other compounds to follow in the coming weeks.

SXT tire insert roller

SXT have introduced their new tire insert roller for 1/10th off-road tires. The tool was developed to break in the tire’s foam insert without having to actually use and wear the tire. To use the tool the wheel will be spun using a drill and the tyre is being pressed down on the rollers. The result is a proper seated insert that also already saw some action which can improve overall grip.

Pro-Line Electron 2.2” buggy front tyres

Pro-Line have introduced the Electron 2.2” 2WD buggy and 4WD buggy front tyres in S3 rubber compound. The Electron shares close family ties with Pro-Line’s popular ION tyre with the iconic dirt grabbing center tread and futuristic styling. The Electron features connected tyre tread technology to improve traction and wear on even the most abrasive of indoor track conditions. The square center pins laid out between the connected tread provide consistent forward and side bite even when the track gets dusty. Both the 2WD and 4WD S3 soft compound tyres come as pairs including blue closed cell inserts.

Procircuit V2 1/8th buggy tyres

Modelix Racing have introduced the new Procircuit V2 series of 1/8th scale buggy tyres that will include updated variants of the popular H-Block, Hot Dice, Addictive and Claymore tyres. The V2 tyres will provide increased traction, side bite and durability thanks to new, softer and more elastic compounds. The V2 series tyres will come in C1 Super Soft (white), C2 Soft (yellow), C3 Medium (orange) and C4 Hard (blue) rubber compounds while the tyre carcass has also been modified and reinforced by adding an inner cross-shaped substructure that adds to the longitudinal rips, helping the wheel, insert and tyre work together in an optimised fashion to provide maximum stability when accelerating as well as in fast corners. The V2 series also features a new insert to make maximum use of the new reinforced structure while improving overall performance with more consistent handling over bumps, effortless jumping and an easy to drive feeling. Lastly the tread patterns have also been revised in order to improve performance while the new high precision injection moulds not only provide a nice glossy surface, but also a super precise and nice finish to all V2 series tyres.
