Sweep Racing Hydroedge 1/10th wet weather tyres

Sweep Racing have introduced the Hydroedge 1/10th touring car wet weather tyre. Made using a special rubber that is softer than standard and coming with a unique tread pattern the belted tyre is usable in both damp and wet conditions. The tyre with the part number EXP-WT is the official wet weather tyre for the 2016 ISTC World Championships on Beijing and it will complement Sweep’s EXP-36R2PG dry weather hand-out tyre.

Hot Race Tyres Amazzonia 1/8th buggy tyre

Italian company Hot Race Tyres have introduced the new Amazzonia 1/8th buggy tyre. The small pin tread makes for an overall low weight in combination with an exceptional wear rate, even when using soft compounds. The tyre is best used in high-wear and low-grip track conditions and it is available in hard, medium soft and super-soft rubber from end of July with a first batch being on sale track side at the forthcoming 1/8th Nitro Buggy Euros in Spain.

Kyosho Optima 2016 option parts

Kyosho have introduced a range of option parts for the Optima 2016 re-release buggy. First up is an aluminium servo mount that makes for improved stiffness and cooler looks. The part comes gun metal anodised and it includes mounting hardware. Also new are hard-anodised 7075 alloy main chassis rails for improved looks and durability. On the performance side of things, Kyosho have soft compound pin tyres to offer. Measuring 43x86x40mm the tyres fit the Optima’s kit rims and the softer rubber compound improves traction and side bite. Finally comes a 2-piece set of 5-spoke rims for the Optima re-release buggy. Matching the kit’s design the rims come in black colour to make for a different visual appearance.

Hot Race Tyres introduce new rubber compounds

Italian company Hot Race Tyres have introduced two new rubber compounds for their 1/8th off-road tyres. The medium and hard compound will deliver increased grip especially in high ambient temperatures and they replace the previous compound. The new tyres will become available from early July.

Pro-Line Fugitive Lite & Transistor off-road tyres

Coming soon from Pro-Line are the Fugitive Lite 1/8th buggy and Transistors 2.2″ 2WD front tyres. Starting with the 1/8th-related tyre, the Fugitive Lite is the little brother to the World Championship winning Fugitive with a very similar tread layout but with significantly smaller pins. The smaller pins results in a lighter weight tyre that accelerates and brakes quicker while still maintaining great wear characteristics. The tyre fits most 1/8th buggy rims and it comes in X2, X3, M3 and M4 compounds and including closed cell inserts.

PMT introduce new Supreme X01 compound

Italian company PMT have introduced the all-new Supreme X01 rubber compound for their 1/5th scale tyres. Aimed at dirty low-grip tracks the new compound will increase both the overall grip and tyre life by about 25 percent compared to the previous rubber. The 40 shore tyres are available pre-mounted on white P0 rims.

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced their new universal tyre glueing bands. The special length allows to use these bands both with 1/10th and 1/8th tyres with the increased width of 25mm not only applying force on the carcass but also the whole tread. This ensures proper tyre fitment on the rim and thus a precise and reliable glueing job. The black-colour bands come RDRP-branded and in packs of four.

MCD Racing Dirt-Xross large scale tyres

Turkish company MCD Racing have introduced their all-new Dirt-Xross tyres for large scale off-road cars. Specially developed for compact gravel tracks the heavy-duty design offers increased sidewall protection and wear resistance and thanks to a more dense tread packing the tyre offers increased traction at a reasonable wear rate. Like the recently introduced Micro-Stud V2 tyre, the Dirt-Xross will also feature MCD Racing’s new internal webbing structure and it is available in the ultra-grip blue compound.
