LMR welcomes young Lewis Jones

With the recent addition of Lewis Jones LMR welcome another young talented driver to their team. Lewis has been driving for a few years now and he is getting better each year, in fact so good that he started kicking his dad’s backwards and in doing so, forcing him into retirement and onto the tools for young Lewis. Since then he has improved his driving and his maturity and for 2015 he will pilot an MBX7R along with the range of LMR’s products.

Tanner Stees renews with HB-HPI

Team HB announce that Tanner Stees has extended his contract to drive for their off-road racing team through to 2015. Arizona racer Tanner Stees has been racing off-road RC cars for over 10 years, competing in electric and nitro-powered racing classes throughout North America, from California to Canada. A regular fixture in A-Main races at major racing events, Tanner’s skills continue to improve with the help of his HB teammates, especially World Champion Ty Tessmann. This is what Tanner has to say about the deal:

Robert Batlle leaves Yokomo

Robert Batlle leaves Yokomo

In a short statement on his Facebook page Spanish ace Robert Batlle has announced his departure from 1/10th electric chassis sponsor Yokomo. The 2012 1/8th Buggy World Champion looks back on a pretty successful 2-year campaign with the Japanese manufacturer with individual race wins as well as the electric National off-road championship titles and he has the following to say about the spilt:

I would like to thank all Yokomo crew, specially Masami San, Shin Adachi and Robert Itoh for this two years together, also to teach me on electric races. Now it is time to get different ways.

Team HB confirm the signing of Reno Savoya

Team HB confirm the signing of Reno Savoya

Following the release of some photos on Facebook by the Frenchman himself, Team HB have finally confirmed that 3-time European Champion Reno Savoya will be joining their off-road racing team. A multiple Worlds Main Finalist, 3-time European Champion, multiple French National Champion and regular feature on podiums at major races around the world. The 27-year old racing star, nicknamed ‘The Shark, will bring an abundance of racing experience, knowledge and racing prowess to the team, thanks to his many years of being a professional racer.

Im delighted to join Team HB! For the last several years, HB products have had much success. This is a great opportunity for me to join such a successful company and team. The latest Team HB achievements are incredible, and Im really motivated to bring more success to Team HB in Europe in the next 4 years! I will of course race the D812, D8T Tessmann Edition and the D413. The first race is really soon, as I am racing my HB D812 this weekend for the first time in Pierrefeu for the Grand Prix, I cant wait!

Reno, together with new signing David Ronnefalk, current World Champion Ty Tessmann and the entire HB factory and R&D team will help continue to develop and improve HB racing cars for more race wins and championships, not just for themselves but for all HB racers. We are very excited to see what Reno can accomplish with the HB D413, D8T Tessmann Edition and World Champion D812 in 2015 and beyond.

Rico Kröber & Christian Wurst join Capricorn

Capricorn have announced that Rico Kröber and Christian Wurst have joined the Italian company for the 2015 season. Rico has made the move after being with Xray for four years. Rico will race the company’s C802 1/8th and C03 1/10th 200mm chassis is his upcoming campaign. This is what Rico has to say about the deal:

I am glad to get the chance from Patrizio to Race in 2015 the new C-03 and also the C802. But I also have to say thank you to the Hudy family for the support during the last 5 years. Now I’m looking forward for the new season with my new team and my new cars.

Jörn Neumann & Gerd Strenge part ways with Durango

Following their statement to dissolve their Pro racing team Team Durango now announce the split from the team’s front runner Jörn Neumann and designer Gerd Strenge. All parties will continue to work together during their notice period but it is also agreed to allow an early release to a new sponsor if that is required by either of them.

David Ronnefalk confirmed at Team HB

Team HB have confirmed that multiple European Champion and former Kyosho factory driver David Ronnefalk will be joining their off-road racing team. As a multiple Worlds Main Finalist and double European Champion, Team HB are very excited to see what David can accomplish with the HB D413 and World Champion D812 in 2015 and beyond. Together, David, Ty and the entire HB factory and R&D team will help continue to develop and improve HB racing cars for more race wins and championships, not just for themselves but for all HB racers. David has been very successful in off-road racing at the National, European and World level, and he brings with him a wealth of skill and knowledge to Team HB. He may be only 18 years old, however the Swedish racing star already has a huge amount of racing experience that makes him a consistent threat for the top positions in every race he enters. He had this to say about the deal:

I would like to thank Tatsuro Watanabe and Team HB for giving me the opportunity to join the team. I’m very excited to get started with all the new products, and I’m sure we will have many successful years together. I already feel very welcome in the team and I’m looking forward to be working with everybody. See you all out on the track!
