TOP Racing team driver Dustin Layne won the Stock class at the IIC in Las Vegas. Dustin was on a TQ run in the last round of qualifying until he experienced radio problems with only 30 seconds to go. He ended up qualifying 2nd but made the best of it in the main and pulled off the win. In the Super Stock class EJ Evans finished 4th behind Hara, Haynes, and Tessman. TOP Racing also wanted to congratulate privateer Jerry Perez for winning the Amateur 17.5 class. CRC report on the IIC in Vegas

Team CRC are reporting that their cars, tires and LiPo cells performed very well taking 4 out of 5 Top Qualifying positions at the 2010 International Indoor Champs held at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ‘Brians’ Bodine and Wynn took pole in 3 classes, with Bodine taking pole in both limited speedo classes and Wynn taking the Expert WGT TQ. New Mexico CRC driver, Max Kuenning, won all 4 rounds of qualifying in 1:12th Super Stock taking TQ and finishing second. The only division CRC missed the top spot was the 1:12th Modified class where 2-time defending champ Hupo Hönigl narrowly missed the top spot by 0.3 seconds. Hupo was on a TQ pace with 1 lap to go in the 4th round, however, he played it a little too safe and a slow last lap cost him the pole position. The pan car podiums at the 2010 IIC were filled with red, CRC cars and the Maxxcell LiPo pack. In 1:12th scale, CRC Pro Cut tires were found on more than half of the podium finishers.

It has been confirmed that Chris Grainger has won his second consecutive BRCA National Modified Championship with Schumacher and the Mi4LP. The BRCA have confirmed that no result in the final round at West London this weekend can affect Chris’ current series lead. Chris has 2 wins at Mendip and Aldershot this year backed up with 2 second places at Cotswolds and Halifax showing awesome consistency. With a best 3 races to count from 5 this can’t be beaten. The season so far has seen awesomely close battles between Chris, the Speed Passion powered car of Elliot Harper and fast charging Olly Jefferies, in what could be classed as the closest and most exciting season for many years. With the final round at West London remaining this coming weekend the rest of the Schumacher team are looking to add to their points. Currently 4 Mi4LP’s lie in the top 10 of the Modified Championship and an amazing 5 cars in the top 10 of the Pro Stock championship, with the overall title in that class still up for grabs.
