The 3rd Annual Le Mans Veteran Meeting will be held on the 28th and 29th of September at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. Classes run will include Pan Car Lemans, Formula, Touring Modified and Touring Stock 13.5T and all details can be found on social media here.
The 2018/19 edition of the Xray Racing Series Germany will kick off on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of November at the MAC Adenau club. The 5-race series will conclude with the grand finale at the Arena33 in Andernach in February and it will see the running of Touring Stock, FWD, Formula, 1/12th scale and GT12 classes and more information can be found here.
Schumacher Racing have announced the signing of 6-time BRCA Stock Touring Car Champion Zak Finlay to their team. Zak has been at the top of stock racing in the UK for numerous years and has a huge range of titles to his name including three International Carpet Challenge 13.5 Championships, three Essex Winter Series 13.5 Championships, four BTCC 13.5 Championships and two Xray XRS 13.5 UK Championship titles. Zak comes along with team mates Olly Jefferies and Marcus Askell and he had the following to say:
I am really pleased to have the opportunity to join Schumacher Racing. Feeling that now is the right time to make a move, Schumacher is a great option for me and I am excited for a new challenge. Being able to work closely with the factory and other team members, I am confident that we can deliver some good results moving forwards. The MCM RC indoor track in Bergamo, Italy will play host to the Ruddog Cup Italy on the 13th and 14th of October. The event will be held in the five classes of Touring Modified, Touring 13.5T Stock EFRA, Touring 13.5T Handout, Formula and On-road Truck, with top drivers attending in all classes. Ruddog’s Andreas Myrberg will be present to support all attending Team Associated drivers and more information can be found on social media here.
The Gargenville astro turf track recently played host to round 5 of the French 1/10th Electric Off-road Championship. Xray’s Armand Lantheaume would double TQ the 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy classes and he also went on to take the day’s win in both categories. In the 2WD class A2 winner, young Clement Boda (Team Associated), took the overall runner-up spot from Francois Guerbois (Xray) on the 3 spot. In 4WD Armand was accompanied on the podium by HB Racing’s Thomas Anger in 2nd and Team Associated’s Clement Boda 3rd.
The Xray Racing Series Italy will be held on the 30th of September at the Minicar Montegiorgio track. The event will be held in 1/8th Nitro On-road, 1/10th Nitro Touring and 1/8th Electric classes and more information can soon be found here.
The 9th Annual Top Gun Race was held at NORCAL Hobbies in San Jose, California recently. The surface was on a parking lot however it was prepped well and VHT was used for spraying the track. Saturday was open practice and Sunday saw two qualifiers and the A-main. In the Touring Modified class it was Lex Tyler with the TQ and win as EJ Evans and Aaron Lewis came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The 2018 RCRA New South Wales State titles saw drivers from the local club, other New South Wales clubs as well as a strong group of Queensland drivers come to race at Glen Innes, a rural town on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. A new track layout was just finished and would provide a challenge for all drivers. With the grippe track, bumps and some tricky jumps, 2WD Mod was always going to be about buggy placement and not pushing too hard in the wrong places. Current Australian 2WD Mod champ Christopher Sturdy took the TQ from Mitchell Pratt in 2nd and Jason Ryan in 3rd. A1 and A2 was all Christopher Sturdy taking the title over Mitchell Pratt in 2nd with Troy Milton coming from 5th on the grid to take 3rd.
