Simon Reeves wins BRCA E-buggy Nats opener

Simon Reeves wins BRCA E-buggy Nats opener

Deerdale played host to round 1 of the BRCA E-buggy national championship with a great turnout of drivers. However the weather did its best to ruin the event with strong winds and constant rain. The club did a great job of running through qualifying under the adverse weather conditions which would see Tony Truman’s Agama take pole followed by the Herts RC Models Mugen of Simon Reeves with Lewis Beach’s SWorkz rounding out the top 3. The A-final would be run in much drier but windy conditions and saw Simon Reeves leap to the front as Tony had an unfortunate issue, Simon would lead the race for the majority with Matt Lewis taking the lead at the half way stage but an unfortunate error with his TLR would see him drop back to 2nd. Simon went on to take the win being the only driver to make it through to 20 laps with Matt Lewis 2nd and Tony Truman recovering from a very bad start to 3rd.

Thanks to Simon Reeves for the report.

Martin claims first EOS double

Lee Martin claimed his first double of the Euro Offroad Series with the Yokomo driver adding his first ever 4WD win to a third 2WD win yesterday at Round 3 of the championship in Wels, Austria.  Only the 4th driver to do the double in the EOS’ 14 race history, the British ace completed the perfect weekend when he claimed Yokomo’s second ever 4WD victory with another dominant win in A2.  The win puts the newly crowned 2WD Champion in contention to do the title double as the championship moves next to the Hudy Arena in Slovakia for the Season #4 finale.  Joining Martin on the podium would be the Xray’s pairing of Martin Bayer and Martin Wollanka, Bayer winning the final race of the day ahead of defending champion Joern Neumann who would finish 5th overall on his Serpent debut.

Martin cruises to A1 win in Austria

sun_leeA1

Lee Martin cruised to an easy unchallenged win in the opening 4WD A-Main at the Euro Offroad Series in Austria this afternoon but behind the Yokomo driver there was plenty of action to entertain the large crowd of onlookers.  Starting from pole position, Martin quickly established a lead as behind a slow starting David Ronnefalk came under pressure from the Xray of Martin Bayer.  In the battle the two would make contact which would also hold up Martin Wollanka allowing the Schumacher of Michal Orlowski to slip through to second place, where he would stay till the finish with Bayer to complete the Top 3 1.1-seconds back.  Starting from the back of the grid Serpent’s Joern Neumann would enjoy a great race to finish fourth after seeing off the challenges of Team Associated’s Patrick Hofer.
