Hobbywing 120A V3.1 & 90A V2.1 controllers

New from Hobbywing come the updated Xerun 120A V3.1 and 90A V2.1 controllers. Starting with the 120A variant, the updated version of the V3 now features an aluminium lower case for better heat dissipation, an updated heatsink design for better airflow and cooling as well as silicone-sealed sensor and fan connectors for dust protection. The V3.1 also comes with updated firmware that sports different neutral range and turbo timing settings. Also new is the Xerun 90A V2.1, the follow-up model of the 60A controller. The controller comes with a different hardware for higher performance, a 5.5T motor limit and 360A burst current rating. Both ESCs are available from February.

Novak ultra low-res stator & 12.5mm rotor

Some new items from Novak, the first of wich is the ultra low-resistance stator, available in three winds, 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T. These new stators are developed to provide maximum copper wire fill and give spec racers an edge over a standard motor. Each stator is hand-wound by Novak’s winding wizards in Irvine, California using the largest diameter, high-quality Novak Red Wire we can fit into the stator. This lowers the stator’s resistance, giving serious racers the lowest numbers possible, and the fastest speeds on the track. Novak also have a new 12.5mm high-torque neodymium tuning rotor. The 12.5mm rotor uses the same high-strength Neodymium material as the original Novak rotor with a larger diameter. It will increase the torque and improve the natural push brake and drag braking strength of the Ballistic, Club, and Velociti/SS Pro brushless motors.

Dynamite Fuze 70A BL waterproof ESC

The Dynamite Fuze 70A ESC is the newest addition to the Fuze ESC lineup. The ESC is waterproof, completely programmable and comes pre-wired with a high-current EC3 connector. The 70A design makes the ESC extremely robust and will handle the extreme power demands from today’s brushless motors. The ESC will work with most sensorless brushless motors and is 3S LiPo and NiMH compatible. The ESC was designed specifically to work with most on- and off-road 1/10-scale applications.

Vampire Type AB+ V2 motor

In Germany last weekend for the 2nd round of the EOS, series sponsor Vampire Racing showed us the pre production version of their new brushless competition motor, called the Type AB+ V2. The motor features a double balanced rotor, TIN coated magnet, black coated rotor shaft, better magnet material which can resist higher temperatures and a stronger can to absorb also the heaviest impacts. It also has a fully rebuildable and dis-mountable can, complying to EFRA and IFMAR rules and will be available in a range of winds when it becomes available in the coming weeks.

Mamba Monster 2 & Sidewinder 3 ESCs

Castle Creations have introduced their new Mamba Monster 2 and Sidewinder 3 ESCs. The Monster 2 is just as mean as his older brother but is now waterproof meaning you can power your 1/8th buggy or truck through just about any conditions. It is intended for on-road, buggies, truggies and monster trucks running up to 6S LiPo and tipping the scales at up to 15lbs. The innovative new case allows for fan changes, if necessary and solder posts now permit users to change battery wire length and direction as needed. The Sidewinder ESC, the 1/10th scale sport brushless ESC, is also now waterproof. The Sidewinder 3 is a great fit for 1/10th off-road, on-road, and rock crawlers running up to 3S LiPo. It sports updated circuitry for faster response time and improved reliability. Savöx compact case & HV RTR servos

Savöx introduce several new servos in the form of the SA-1258TG, SA-0220MG and SA-0320 servo. Starting with the SA-1258TG (0.08s/12.0kg-cm), the servo features a reduced height of 37.2mm, comes with dual ball bearings and titanium and aluminium gear set. Originally designed for aircraft applications the servo will also do well in many 1/10th on-road and off-road applications. The SV-0220MG (0.13s/8kg-cm) and SV-0320 (0.13s/6kg-cm) are standard size servos with the 0220MG sporting a metal gear set while the 0320 comes with plastic gears. Both are ideally suited to upgrade steering and throttle servos of RTR cars and the like and are usable with 6.0V to 7.4V input.
