Acorn Racing 4900mAh 34C Race LiPo

Acorn Racing have introduced their new 4900mAh 34C 2S1P 7.4V Carbon Edition Race LiPo. With a higher continuous discharge current, higher capacity available and a much lower resistance, these newly developed cells can give both racers and drivers the extra punch and run time they have been looking for. Acorn Race LiPos are specifically designed as 2S1P configuration to maintain the ultimate punch and balance charge for all race conditions and come in an impact-resistant carbon printed hard case very much like it’s brother the 4200mAh 2S1P 30C LiPo.

LRP 5000mAh 50C saddle pack LiPo

Seen at the toy fair, LRP have released this competition spec 50C 5000mAh hard cased LiPo saddle pack configured to deliver extremely high current draw, especially during acceleration. The unique values are achieved by specially selected raw materials and new modern manufacturing technology. Due to the new electrolyte-mixture the batteries can be charged exceptionally fast and due to an extremely low internal resistance the voltage of the batteries stays stable even under the highest pressure and demands. The revolutionary HDS technology, developed by LRP, allows a very high discharge current and therefore also significantly more power. Equipped with 4mm gold connectors, that can be connected from both sides for highest possible flexibility.

HPI mini failsafe unit

Protect your car or truck from dangerous runaway conditions with this failsafe unit from HPI. Simply plug it in between your throttle servo and receiver for instant protection, just in case your receiver battery runs low or you lose radio signal while out on the track. ProTek R/C ROAR Approved LiPo race packs

A Main Hobbies today announced their new line of ProTek R/C brand Lithium Polymer hard case battery packs. Starting with this ROAR legal 1-cell 5000mAh capacity pack with a true 40C constant discharge rate, it includes a pre-installed Deans style T-plug. Next up is the ROAR legal 2-cell 5000mAh pack with a true 35C constant discharge rate. This pack includes a charge/balance lead with 4mm bullet connectors for a low resistance connection to the battery and a 3-pin Align/E-Flite style XH connector. Next up is the 5200mAh 45C saddle pack which includes bullet connectors for charging, with a Deans style T-plug and XH balance connector installed. ProTek offer two versions of their ROAR approved 5600mAh 50C packs that come either pre wired or with cables connected using 4mm bullet connectors. Finally for 1/8th scale racers, this ROAR legal 4-cell pack features 5600mAh of capacity and a true 50C constant discharge rate and includes and integrated Deans style T-plug and 5 pin XH connector.

GM Genius 120 & 90 Speed Controllers

Schumacher have announced the new 2010 spec GM Genius 120 & 90, the 2009 BRCA Modified TC Championship winning Speed Control as used by Chris Grainger, is now available. Featuring a cooler operating temperature by using a lightweight aluminium housing and special PCB design with extra-thick copper traces and optimized switching flanks. Highly efficient due to faster 16-bit processor and optimized software, it has telemetry functions, new brake and power programs, 10 user programmable modes and user updateable firmware.

Robitronic Platinum 1/8th brushless motors

Seen during the toy fair earlier this month, Robitronic have released full details on their new Platinum Brushless motors for 1/8th scale buggies, truggies and monster trucks. Featuring a sensored design for smoother response over non sensored versions, the timing is mechanically adjustable for fine tuning the motor’s performance to different track conditions. Sporting a 12.3mm sintered neodymium rotor with the now standard 5mm diameter shaft for use with regular 1/8th pinions, the motor is available in 6.5T, 7.5T and 8.5T versions.
