A-Main Hobbies, owner of the ProTek brand, dropped us a mail to tell us about their new line of LiPo battery packs that they have just released. The line up includes transmitter packs which have been designed to fit popular car transmitters such as the Futaba 3PK, Airtronics M11, JR Z-1 and KO Propo EX-10 Helios transmitters with capacities ranging from 1000mAh for minimal weight, up to 3300mAh for maximum endurance. Next up are receiver packs designed for off-road nitro cars and trucks with a number of different receiver battery dimensions and capacities from 1000mAh up to 2000mAh as well as a LiPo regulator that features a low drop out voltage design and low voltage detection to remind you when your receiver battery is going flat and needs to be charged.

Hot Bodies Real Competition Speedo

Hot Bodies have also announced the release of this new competition micro speed controller for brushed motors, called the Real Competition. This super lightweight controller comes preinstalled with the Team HB setting program which allows you to configure the settings such as response times, power curves etc. Other features include a high temperature safety cut off system, low battery protection function, alarm function in case you forget to disconnect the power and a data logging function.

Hot Bodies have announced that they will soon start selling their new matched Intellect based IB4200 VR-1X cells, which provide lots of power and are also very reliable. The matched cells come sold in 3 different versions, the Competition type which as the name suggests is suited to the highest level of racing, the Racing type which is a good all round cell and the HG version which is a basic matched cell. Sold in packs of 6 cells, expect to see them available in August.

Novak Sintered 13mm Tuning Rotor

Novak have introduced this sintered 13mm tuning rotor that has been designed to alter the feel and experience of driving a Novak motor, and offers a new dimension of tunability. With a slightly larger diameter and improved magnetic material, the rotor can withstand a higher temperature threshold, improving its durability while also increasing the natural drag brake and opening up the motor’s gearing window to improve drivability. The Sintered 13mm Tuning Rotor is compatible with the Novak Velociti-series, SS Pro-series brushless motors and any Novak 540-size brushless motors with an oversized front end bell bearing.

Much More Hara matched cells

Much-More have released these IB4200 Atsushi Hara Special matched VR-1X WC cells and as with the same type cells made available yesterday by Morotech, these are best suited for stock racing. Sold in a pack of 6 they are expected to have an average voltage of 1.25+ @ 35 amp discharge and a 0560sec runtime. Available now.

Morotech matched IB4200 WC cells

Morotech of Japan have released 3 new types of Dragon matched IB4200 VR-1X World champion cells. Featuring super high voltage, these cells are particularly suited to stock racing, and in particular the new sports class that is being run this year in Japan, and so these cells are all recognised by the JMRCA for this class. Sold in packs of 6, the different types range from the super powerful to the not so powerful but with more runtime. Available end of this month.

The Nosram Matrix Evolution 2007 was released back in February and and is essentially the red version of the LRP Sphere brushless speed controller. Our site partners oOple have done one of their great build reviews, or in this case install reviews, which includes an in depth in-depth installation steps as well as his opinions after running it in his Tamiya 501X. As a bonus there is also a review of the Nosram Storm Evolution brushless motor, which he uses to test the speedo.
