The Coup de France for 1/8th nitro buggies was run at the Loudun track and it was Kyosho’s Jérôme Aigoin who took the race win in the 45 minute final one lap ahead of his Brother Yannick (Team Associated) and Edouardo Hugon (SWorkz) who was down another lap. The top 5 are completed by Agama driver Jérôme Sartel and Jonathan Bacro (Serpent).

Søren B. Sørensen has won the 2014 Danish DMSU Stock class championship. A forth place at the season finale was enough for the Serpent driver to finish the season with the smallest of margins, a one point lead, from second placed Martin Lava (Xray) and Kasper Nissen (Corally). The final race was won by Søren’s Serpent team mate Nicolai.

The second round of the RCCM Cup took place at the Northern German Hollmoorring in Munster. The race was won by Serpent’s Merlin Depta who started from third position. Right after the start he quickly moved up in the running order eventually finishing the final four laps in front of Thomas Einbeck and Olaf Koch.

The 2014 LRP Touring Car Masters will take place the weekend of the 16th of March 2014 at the Großsporthalle in Rüsselsheim near Frankfurt/Main. For the 17th edition of the prestigious race a new larger venue was found that allows for more space for drivers and spectators with the local VfR Rüsselsheim club hosting the event. The proven concept of the TCM remains the same as in the years before, in addition to the Masters class the successful national LRP-HPI-Challenge will be run. 8-days on from making the shock announcement that after 13 years of racing for HB the had left the team, Atsushi Hara claimed a ‘special win’ today as he became the FEMCA 1:8 Offroad Champion after a near perfect day at Fengtai Raceway in China. Racing as a privateer with a Mugen that he went out to a hobby shop and bought himself, the Japanese ace won the 1-hour final easily from Top Qualifier Dani Choi and Sheng Chie Huang who had a great battle towards the end of the race.

The Proline Indoor Championships were hosted by Arizona’s newest indoor RC facility Warehouse 3. Due to the amazing turnout of 327 entries the format was shortened from 4 qualifiers to 3 qualifiers but still using the standard qualifying points format with this being only a two day event. Things started off good for the TLR team with Charles Hicks taking the round 1 TQ of Modified Truck, Chris Wheeler then TQ the first round of both Mod SC in mid motor and 2WD Modified Buggy. Trevor Clement would TQ Pro 4 SC. Round 2 would have Charles again taking the TQ in Modified Truck to clinch the overall TQ position, Trevor and Chris also took the TQ in their respective classes. Charles TQ’d the 3rd and final round of Truck Modified for a clean sweep as did Chris in the Pro 2 class. Kevin Kimberly took the final round of Pro 4 for a TLR sweep of qualifying in that class.

During the 6th round of the Belgian electric touring car championships it was Gregory Werniers who took TQ in the Superstock class. A strong Olivier Riffon managed to put his car on the second spot with Christophe Charlier ending up in third place after the qualifiers. At the start of the first final Christophe Charlier was hit by trouble forcing him to start late. Meanwhile Gregory was in the lead and Olivier Riffon made a mistake in lap 2. Geoffrey Vekemans was hunting Stephane Roufosse and Gregory was not able to get away from Stephane and Geoffrey. Gregory made a mistake in lap 8 and Geoffrey took the lead after passing Stephane. This handed him the win in front of Stephane and Gregory.

Christian Wurst and John Lenaers are the Western German 1/8th nitro on-road champions. Serpent racer Wurst took the title and the prestigious #1 start number for the 2014 season in class 1, Mugen driver Lenaers caught the title in class 2. The decisions about both titles were taken at the fourth and final round at Oberhausen that, for the first time in the 2013 season, was spoiled by rain. Enjoying a permanent #1 start number in 2013, Uwe Baldes entered the final race as the reigning champion and also as the leader in the class 1 ranking after three rounds, equal on points with Xray racer Claus Nauth, with Karl-Heinz Meister on the third spot. The initial position was clear, seven racers were able to fight for the crown in Oberhausen.
