With just some minor changes to the car in the final it was an easy win for the XB4 with 2 laps ahead of the Jiri Mara, with Kaja Novotny in 3rd.

Martin Lissau wins Danish Nationals Rd2

The second round of the Danish Nationals was held at LFRC, a new club in Denmark with a brand new track. Saturday practice started and the track had not so much grip at the start, but the traction was building up quickly and the lap times got better. On Sunday when the race got underway it was soon obvious that it would be a close battle between Mike Goswig and Martin Lissau. After qualification Lissau would take TQ with the only 26 laps run, about a second in front of Mike. The first two finals showed great racing between Mike and Martin and although there were a number of touches there was great sportsmanship shown. Lissau would win all three but only after some close racing with Gosvig in 2nd and and Patrick Folman 3rd.

Horizon Hobby UK’s David Spashett continued his dominant start to the 2012/13 BRCA 1/12th Scale Nationals by winning both the stock and modified classes at round 2 of the championship. David looked to be in imperious form and cruised to TQ in the 10.5 blinky stock class on Saturday driving a chassis that he has had designed and manufactured himself using Associated suspension parts. At times the Serpent S120 LTX of Chris Kerswell looked like mounting a serious challenge, but despite showing good pace Chris was unable to topple David from the top spot. Mick Farrell was driving the new CRC Xti for the first time at this event and lined up 3rd on the grid ahead of the Associated of Matt White and Mark Stiles, also driving a CRC Xti. Sweep UK Rug Racers series Rd2 report

Racers hit the carpet once more for round 2 of the Sweep UK Rug Racers series. With almost maximum capacity across Touring and GT12 (as well as a very good attendance of 1/12th Circuit drivers) the day would be a busy one. 13.5T qualifying and Ashley Wiffen (Schumacher Mi4cxl) was on top spot after round 1 with 26/ 307.81. Behind him Jimmy Maddison was on form and looking good for a top spot with Colin Gardner showing some good early pace in 3rd. Ashley would improve his time by 5 second in round 2 with fellow Schumacher team mate, and last year’s champ, Paul Pinkney now moving to second spot on another 26 lap run. Jimmy would also improve to 26 to stay in there with 3rd spot. The track was getting ever quicker, and with it Jimmy put in a blistering 27/ 306.16 in round 3 to top the table ahead of Paul and Ashley both on 27 laps as well. It was clear that to be in the A-main a 27 or fast 26 would be needed. Ashley set to it and was pulling out everything to take pole, and he did with a 27/ 301.79 . Paul improved on his time to go 2nd a few seconds shy of Ashley, with Jimmy in 3rd spot with his round 3 time.
