Kinwald victorious at Vegas SC Showdown

The popular Team Associated-sponsored Short Course Showdown Series made its sixth stop of the year at 702 Raceway in Las Vegas, NV. With racers from across the country and a destination like Las Vegas, the event was sure to be a hit. Team Associated was well represented with 2x World Champion Brian Kinwald leading the way. In qualifying, BK put his Factory Team SC10 in the #1 qualifying position for the 2WD Modified Short Course class. Joining him in the main for Team Associated were Scott Brown and Tommy Hinz. In the 4WD Modified Short Course main, the Factory Team SC10 4x4s of Brian Kinwald and Scott Brown would contest the win. With a side-by-side grid start, Kinwald got the jump on the field and checked out in 2WD Modified Short Course. The 4WD Modified Short Course class wasn’t as easy a win. With a mid-pack start, Kinwald worked his way just behind the leaders, one of which included teammate Scott Brown. With just a few laps to go, Brown got tangled and Kinwald took over the lead. A solid finish by “The Dirtinator” got him the double victory for Team Associated and the Factory Team SC10 and SC10 4×4.
