The 2014 KL City GP Challenge was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last weekend. In the 1/8th nitro on-road class Chavit S took the pole position but in the finals it was Trin T who took the win with the KM Racing K8. In the 1/8th 200mm class Azri Amri successfully ended the qualifiers taking TQ but he had to make way in the finals for Charlee P who took the win from Azri.

Italian company BP Racing announce the signing of Mirko Salemi for the 2014 season. Mirko will run the new BP-RS4 1/8th nitro on-road car nationally and internationally. This is what Mirko has to say about the deal:
First tests have been very good and I am sure the car will reach some important results both nationally and internationally.

FX announce that the European Champion 40+, Peter Harder has joined the FX team and will run the 5K in the 2014 season. Peter is multiple Danish 1/8th off-road and Nordic 1/8th on-road champion and has the following to say about the deal:
I know Juraj and his focus for an absolute perfection for everything he makes and I was very interested to test the engine he has developed and produced and there was a no real surprise for me as the engine is exactly what I was expecting from him – best quality and the highest reliability of any engines I ever run. After the several races where I successfuly run the engine I have decided to keep the engine installed in my car for the 2014 racing season. I will be travelling to as many races as possible to support our team and I will be more than happy to everyone. Hope to see you all.

Reds Racing announce the latest addition to their team in the form of Dutch frontrunner John Ermen. The Xray driver raced with RB engines before and has the following to say about the deal:
Thanks to Marco and Mario Rossi, we did some tests and I am impressed with the performance and speed of the engines. In 2014 I will race the Dutch Nationals, German Nationals, ENS series and the European Championships. Let’s get the race season going and hope for some good results.

World and multi national champion Mike Swauger will continue with Xray, the Slovakian company announce. The nitro on-road specialist will use the company’s 1/10 and 1/8 cars during his 2014 campaign and has the following to say about the deal:

The annual nitro on-road race at the KLIRCC track in Kuala Lumpur had Zoey Zac winning the 45 minute final of the 1/10th 200mm class. The Xray driver was sidelined on the podium by his Xray teammates Amar Dungun and Anas.

Spanish top level racer and 2013 1/8 Euro B vice-champion, Nacho Lopez has signed a contract with XRD Engines. The Spain-based Serpent designer and 2013 Spanish Champion will run the new XRD engines during his 2014 campaign that will include the EFRA Euros on his home track beside other races. This is what Nacho has to say about the deal:
For this year in which I will have the 1/10 European Championship in my home track, I was looking for the best engines. And after testing XRD products carefully I’m convinced of I have chosen the best option, XRD engines. I’m very happy to join this great team with really good drivers. The second round of the Pernambucano Championship took place last weekend. Serpent’s Paulo Lourenço took the win in the 1/8th on-road class from his Serpent/Novarossi teammates Cleyton Lima and Antônio Vilaça. In the 1/8th GT class Cleyton Lima took the win with his Serpent Cobra GT.
