Fabrizio Teghesi teams up with Ielasi Tuned

Ielasi Tuned from Italy have announced the signing of Italian off-road front-runner, Fabrizio Teghesi. Fabrizio will power his Kyosho rides using Ielasi Tuned’s Hummer7T WC competition engine while also helping with testing and development.

Davide Ongaro dominates RCGP Series Rd3 & Rd4

Rounds 3 and 4 of the newly-founded RCGP Series were held in Fehring, Austria over the weekend. Saturday’s round 3 saw Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro taking the overall TQ and he would also cruise to the win in the opening of the two A-main finals to make a first step towards taking the overall win. A last lap tangle secured Infinity’s Kyle McBride the runner-up spot from Infinity teammate, Lee Martin while the SWorkz trio of Jörn Neumann, Elliott Boots and Juan Carlos Canas came in 4th to 6th place.

EWS Abroad 2019 – Announcement

Oli Meggitt and the EWS Team will again be holding their EWS Abroad event this summer. Taking their style of races into Europe, the race will again be held at the beautiful MAV Aigen Schlägl circuit in northern Austria on the weekend of 13-14 July. The race will be for all drivers, from hobby drivers who want a fun weekend racing, to professionals who want high level competition on a perfectly prepared track. There will be classes for all on-road electric categories, including Touring Car Modified, Super Stock 13.5 and Fun 17.5, Fronti, Formula, 1:8 Electric, and 1:5 electric Super and Stock Bike. Greiner wins at EFRA GP Series Rd3 as Balestri takes title

The third and final round of the EFRA GP Series was held at the iconic Türkheim track in Germany last weekend. The 1/10th 200mm Touring class was dominated by Serpent’s Dominic Greiner, who took the win in the 45-minute A-main with a margin of three laps on runner-up, Dario Balestri (Infinity). Xray’s Leo Arnold came in 3rd, some six seconds short of Dario’s time. Carmine Raiola and Patrick Nähr completed the top 5, some two laps behind the Leo. Overall in the championship it was Dario Balestri with the title from Infinity teammate, Carmine Raiola on the runner-up spot. Serpent’s Alex Thurston came in 3rd to round out the overall top 3 podium.

Ongaro & Orlowski win at EFRA EP Buggy Euros warm-up

The Italian Pinerolo track hosted the EFRA 1/10th Buggy European Championship warm-up race this past weekend. In the 2WD Buggy class it was current 1/8th Nitro Buggy World Champion, Davide Ongaro (Team Associated) with the win from Schumacher’s Michael Orlowski on the runner-up spot. Xray’s Martin Bayer came in 3rd to round out the podium.

2019 VRC Spec Class Worlds – Announcement

This June will see the running of the Spec Class VRC Worlds in various Nitro and Electric, On-road and Off-road categories. The fun kicks off on the 5th of June with Nitro Sedans, 1/12th scale Sports Cars and Rally X. All Spec classes are part of VRC’s free2play package – all that is needed is the respective track. Toni Gruber takes EFRA GP Series 1/8th title

The third and final round of the EFRA GP Series was held in Türkheim, Germany this past weekend. Shepherd’s Toni Gruber was in control of things during qualifying, winning four of the five rounds to take the overall TQ from fellow Shepherd racer, Simin Kurzbuch on the 2 spot and Infinity’s Francesco Tironi in 3rd. The 45-minute main final then again saw Toni holding the upper hand, taking the win some two laps in front of Simon as Capricorn’s Robin D’hondt came in 3rd, another lap down. With the win, Toni also sealed the overall title, leaving behind Capricorn’s Mirko Salemi in 2nd and Infinity’s Teemu Leino in 3rd.

Kurzbuch wins “Really Tough” Rucphen battle

Simon Kurzbuch has taken the win at Round 2 of the 2019 Infinity Euro Nitro Series, but it was anything but easy as the three time ENS Champion seemed unlikely to even make the podium in the first half of the race. Qualifying fourth on the grid after admitting that he had struggled on Saturday, Kurzbuch initially circulated in fourth place, fighting with Dominic Greiner, who had bumped up from the B Final, as the race out front initially seemed to be a fight between the top three qualifiers of Dario Balestri, Robert Pietsch and Carmine Raiola. Deciding only to make one four tyre change at the half way point, as the other top runners chose two full changes, the Swiss driver confirmed that he knew he “couldn’t go at the pace of Balestri and Raiola, so we decided to make one less fuel stop [by running longer between stops] and making only one tyre change”.
