Dragon Stone Asian Buggy Champs – Announcement

Scotty Ernst Productions have announced the Dragon Stone Asian Buggy Championship from September 1st to 4th 2016 in Liaoyang, China. The Asian Buggy Championship is an international 1/8th Buggy event that will be held at the Dragon Stone RC Facility that includes both 1/8th offroad and onroad tracks as well as all the amenities a racer would want. Some of the World’s top drivers have already confirmed their attendance like Ryan Maifield and Reno Savoya, with more to follow. Industry manufacturers will also be attending this event such as JConcept’s Jason and Allison Ruona and Jerome Treignier from RC Concepts among others. The Championship is open to all drivers from around the World regardless of ability. International racers attending the event will be treated to a very VIP experience such as a shuttle service to and from the track as well as an airport shuttle. Classes run include 1/8th Nitro Buggy, 1/8th Electric Buggy and 1/8th Nitro Truggy. Detailed information of the event can be found on the event website as well as on the Dragon Stone Facebook page. Daniele Ielasi & Tobias Kerler Energy fuelled for 2016

Former World Champion, Daniele Ielasi and Germany’s Tobias Kerler will use Energy Fuel to power their rides for their 2016 campaigns. Developed by Pepe Group, the company behind the popular MLC fuel, Daniele and Tobias were very happy with the performance of the juice during their tests and they are now looking forward to a successful season.

1/8th Buggy Euros Warm-up Race – Announcement

The warm-up for the 2016 1/8th Nitro EFRA Off-road European Championships will be held from the 13th to 15th of May at the RC Redovan track in Alicante in the south-east of Spain. Registration for the event is open until the 9th of May and it can be found here together with additional information about the race that is open for all drivers with respective national licences.

Marc Rheinard to run Yokomo YRX12 at Electric Worlds

Yokomo have announced that Germany’s Marc Rheinard will run the company’s all-new YRX12 1/12th pan car at the forthcoming IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championships in Beijing, China. The Tamiya Factory driver already chooses Yokomo buggies for his 1/10th off-road outings and he will now also run the Japanese manufacturer’s competition on-road pan car at an international level.

Coelho caps off EOS title with Nurburgring win

Having become the new 4WD Champion of the Euro Offroad Series this morning at the Nurburgring by claiming the TQ at the season finale, Bruno Coelho has capped of a successful rookie campaign with a third consecutive victory. Making his EOS debut at the iconic motor racing circuit back in September before going onto become World Champion, Coelho’s title marks the first for Xray who become only the third manufacturer to win Europe’s premiere championship. Behind Coelho the podium in Germany would be completed by outgoing Champion Lee Martin, winner of A3, and Martin Wollanka – this was also how they would finish up in the final Season #5 standings.

Coelho cruises to A1 win

New Euro Offroad Series Champion Bruno Coelho produced a faultless drive in the opening 4WD A-Main at the season finale in Germany to win by a massive 5.7-seconds margin. Starting from pole, the Xray driver quickly established a lead over outgoing champion Lee Martin, leaving the Yokomo to come under attack from Martin Wollanka. With the second place battle the biggest entertainment of the race, two mistakes from Martin would ultimately give Wollanka the position. The Austrian would resist a late charge from Martin to make it an Xray 1-2, the gap as they crossed the line 3/10ths of a second.

Coelho secures EOS title with Nurburgring TQ

Bruno Coelho is the new Euro Offroad Series 4WD Champion. The championship rookie guaranteed himself the title by securing the bonus TQ championship point this morning at the Nurburgring. The qualifying outcome and more importantly denying Lee Martin the overall TQ means that irrespective of the outcome of this evening’s A-Main at the season finale the title will be going to the World Champion. The same venue Coelho made his EOS debut last September, this championship marks the first EOS title for his Xray team who become only the third manufacturer to win the high profile 1:10 Offroad championship.

One a piece as Martin takes Q2 at EOS decider

With Bruno Coelho taking the opening round of 4WD qualifying at the Euro Offroad Series title decider last night, this morning his only title rival Lee Martin made it one a piece. Lucky to even make the run, a servo change required before the start, Martin would take his Yokomo to the top of the times ahead of Martin Wollanka’s Xray after a late mistake dropped Coelho off the top spot. Coming into the Nurburgring event as points leader, Coelho would complete the Top 3 ahead of Japanese driver Kaito Kodera.
