Adrian Berntsen dominates Rd1 in Norway

The opening round of the Norwegian 1/10th scale 200mm Nationals took place last weekend and Adrian Bernsten sent us this report. After been doing some testing with my new Capricorn LAB C02 I was ready and looking forward for my first race in Norway for this outdoor season. This first round of the Norwegian national series was held at Geiteryggen racetrack in Skien and saw 19 drivers attending. The track had pretty low traction and was very bumpy so it was important to be fully concentrated on the driving throughout the whole runs. The track conditions were also changing a lot during the day as the temperature rose a bit from the morning.

Andreas Daving double at Norweigian Nats Rd2

The second round off the Norwegian Cup took place at Gjoevik Raceway in cold and windy weather. Practice on Friday was called off due to a lot of rain, but Saturday started with no rain. Following qualification it was the former Norwegian champion Martin Soerlie that took TQ ahead of Centro C4.1/Vampire driver Andreas Daving in second. Andreas took full control and won all the three A-mains with good margins, with Marius Johansen in 2nd and Tommy Langaard in the final podium place. Winner of the B-final was 7 years old Daniel Kobbevik with his C4.1, so a great day for Centro C4.1. On Sunday, it all started even better for Andreas and he took the TQ by over 20 seconds on 2nd. It was an easy win for Andreas in the final as he dominated up front to win easily ahead of Roy Gemble with the DEX410 v3 and Mats Oestlie running the B44.1 in 3rd.

Thanks to Magne Kobbevik for the update.
