Nielsen & Ehrbar win at TOS Central-West Division Rd4

Round 4 of the 2019/20 Tonisport Onroad Series Central-West Division was held at the Andernach track in Germany last weekend. In the Touring Stock class it was Xray’s Kevin Nielsen with the TQ and win. Awesomatix driver, Simon Lauter came in 2nd overall as Alexandere Duchet ended the day in 3rd. Over in the Formula class it was Serpent’s own David Ehrbar who took with the win from Serpent teammate, Sören Sparbier in 2nd. Infinity’s Jitse Miedema came in 3rd to round out the top 3 result.

David Ronnefalk wins at South Swedish Cup Rd2

The second round of the South Swedish Cup was held at the Tomelilla Motor Club in 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy classes. The Nitro Pro class saw HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk taking the overall TQ after a clean sweep in the qualifiers from HB Racing teammate, Hampus Berg in 2nd. Agama’s Jessica Palsson came in 3rd overall after the qualifiers. In the 30-minute A-main, David would bring home the win with a 1-lap margin from Hampus in 2nd. Victor Gunnarsson came in 3rd overall to round out the all-HB-Racing podium.

Joona Haatanen crowned Finnish Nitro Buggy champ

The Finnish 1/8th Off-road Nationals were held in Vaasa this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class saw Team Associated’s Joona Haatanen taking the overall TQ after winning three of the five qualifying rounds while Joseph Quagraine (JQRacing) and Pekko Iivonen (Team Associated) came in 2nd and 3rd respectively, both taking a single qualifying round. In the 45-minute A-main final Joona holding the upper hand as he took the win with a lap margin from Mugen’s Ari Heinonen in 2nd while Pekko Iivonen rounded out the top 3 result only 1.1 seconds behind Ari.

Kobbevik does Norwegian National double

Having reported on the 2wd portion of last weekend’s Norwegian nationals previously, 4wd on Sunday saw more of the same for Daniel Kobbevik who would take his 10th National title. Held at the west coast of the country, close to the city of Bergen, it was the same venue he attended his first big race back in 2011. Topping the seeding in the morning, and coming on top of all qualifiers, Kobbeviki topped off the perfect weekend with two A-main wins to take his 2nd title of the weekend ahead of Nikko Haaheim in 2nd and Vincent Ruger in 3rd..

Max Götzl double at Czech Open Rd4

The 4th round of Czech Open series was held last weekend at the RC AUTA LCM club in Terezin. With rain on Friday there was no possibility for free practice, but the club did a good job to get the track ready and everyone could race in the morning on Saturday. Qualifying for Nitro Buggy go to Xray driver Max Götzl with Jiri Mara taking 2nd and Tomas Kapicka 3rd. In the eBuggy class it was again Götzl that came out on top, this time with Jiri Benes 2nd and Jan Petr in 3rd.

Daniel Kobbevik crowned Norwegian 2WD Buggy Champ

This year’s Norwegian National 2WD Buggy Championship was held at the west coast of the country, close to the city of Bergen. The track was technical and fun with very varying traction conditions. After winning all four qualifying rounds it was multi-time national champion, Daniel Kobbevik with the overall TQ and the pole position for the triple A-main events. From there Daniel continued to dominate the field, taking the wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall victory and his 9th national championship title. Peter Stein came in 2nd overall, Trond Setre finished in 3rd to round out the podium. Over in the recruit class it was Martin Skar with the win.

Ressar & Kasekamp win at 2020 Baltic Cup

The 2020 Baltic Cup was held at the Kangarnieki RC Track over the weekend. Top drivers from the Baltic countries gathered to find out who’s fastest on the high grip technical carpet track. In 1/10th 4WD Buggy, Rainer Ressar took the top spot after the five qualification rounds followed by Henry Zoludev and Karolis Valiulis. Ressar would continue to lead the way and ultimately secured the victory after winning A1 and A2 ahead of Henry Zoludev and Karolis Valiulis.

Norwegian Electric On-road Nationals – Report

The 2020 Norwegian Electric On-road Championship was hosted by the Stavanger Modellbilklubb and held at the huge Klepp RC track in western Norway. While Nikko Haheim took the win in the Touring Modified class, it was Odd Helge Johansen with the victory in Touring Stock. Thor Bjorn Gabrielsen came in 2nd overall from Vidar Gunderson in 3rd. Bjorn Ole Haagenvik came in 4th, Anna Nedrebo rounded out the top 5.
