JConcepts RC10B7 Steel Option Parts

JConcepts has released more new option parts for Team Associated RC10 2WD Buggy, this time in steel.  The front bulkhead is one of the most crucial design items on a 1:10 Offroad buggy and the Florida company is offering a steel option to replace the stock unit with some additional considerations for durability and added weight.  The all-steel machined item is offered in 0 degree and 2.5 degree variants with both allowing the buggy to maintain its original kick-up angle.  Featuring laser marked etching for directional operation, the 25-grams weight is also displayed for the technical racer.  Also new are a steel C Mount and D Mount which are both offer in the black oxide steel colour.  The heavier 10.3 gram C-Mount provides a new setting adjustment that provides more weight on the rear.  The item is designed as a -1 degree so it’s possible to realise alternate adjustments compared to the stock suspension mount.  The D-Mount at 9.2 grams makes it a tuning adjustment for the rigors of high-end buggy racing.

2025 TITC Chassis Focus Index

21 editions of the TITC have been completed and thanks to the support of Hobbywing, Red RC was once again able to make the annual trip to the Infinity RC Addict Circuit in Bangkok to cover this truly unique event.  By far the greatest one yet in terms of all the pre-race hype, 2025 was the year the race got to play out moments that will forever be engrained in the sport’s history.  Bruno Coelho’s first ever race with Infinity, Michal Orlowski’s first ever TITC.  As the saying goes, ‘you only get one chance to make a first impression’ and wow was an impression Orlowski made on the ‘world’s toughest race’ – complete domination.  We also have to mention A3 and the last lap between Marc Rheinard and Bruno Coelho, that pass was pure Rheinard gold and having been reporting on his racing at the top level for so many years it was brilliant to see he still has that magic.  It was interesting to chat with a number of drivers for whom this was their first time experiencing the TITC, they didn’t actually need to tell us they were loving it because it was already written all over their faces,  it was like they had rediscovered the joy of racing again.  We get to go to our fair share of races around the world and none come close in terms of everyone enjoying themselves.  The laughter in the pits and the enthusiasm of the crowd watching the racing is infectious, and we still get to see the best in the World race head to head for a title they all desire so much – it truly is the unofficial World Championships.

JConcepts RC10B7 Alu Option Parts

JConcepts has just dropped a number of new option parts for Team Associated RC10 2WD Buggy.  The parts include a new motor plate which they have intentionally kept rather beefy due to the evolution of racetracks on which high flying jumps are becoming the normal obstacle.  They have recessed the depth for the motor mount screws slightly and added a traditional chamfer highlight to the edge. Countersunk locations for the standard kit hardware make mounting this item very simple.  Featuring the JC logo for brand authenticity, the motor plate is available in blue and black anodised colours, like all the new releases.  On its new rear ball-stud mount, JConcepts say security and precision are the best ways to describe it.  The rear ball-stud mount is under a tremendous amount of stress in today’s racing atmosphere with this CNC-machined aluminium mount ready to drop into place using the standard kit hardware.  Tuning locations remain consistent with the factory performance.  Staying at the rear of the buggy they have also released new rear hub link mounts.  Adding a bit of JConcepts to the rear hub carrier assembly with the all-aluminium construction, they feature stock geometry mounting positions.  On the outside of the part, a recess has been added to reduce weight, and an added silver chamfer adds to the overall fit and finish to any vehicle.  Other items included in the release are a 12.3-gram aluminium electronics plate and a black aluminium 6-gram servo weight plate.

JConcepts F2 | S2 released for Losi Micro B

With Losi’s Micro B 1:24 2WD Buggy proving hugely popular for the American brand, Florida based JConcepts has decided to shrink its popular competition spec F2 and S2 buggy bodies and offer them for this little buggy.  For the Micro class vehicle, JConcepts took the time to produce a scaled down version of the originals. JConcepts has also released a micro version of their carpet | turf | dirt rear wing, which has also been downsized and provides downforce in a variety of conditions on the racing circuit. After driving the Micro, the JConcepts team decided to add a little additional size to this wing to provide even more aero benefits over the stock component.

Team Associated RC10 4WD Kit

After all the various edition RC10 kit releases comes something new from Team Associated with the release of the RC10 4WD Buggy.  The iconic RC10 is now available as a 4WD race buggy with everything included in one box.  Build a high-performance race buggy from the 90s that is meant to be raced, using the latest electronics of your choice.  At the inaugural IFMAR Off Road World Championships, Jay Halsey took first place with his RC10 in the 2WD class but he also took second place in 4WD with a prototype 4WD.  Team Associated never advanced that prototype 4WD and instead focused on 2WD.  Now however the AE engineers have taken the iconic RC10, the knowledge of 4WD racing from the B74, and created the RC10 4WD.  The kit includes clear polycarbonate ProTech body with driver figure, 5.5” high-downforce wing, full ball bearings, CVA driveshafts, vintage front and rear 4WD spike tires, all on the classic gold anodised 6061-T6 monocoque tub chassis.

Rookie came, Rookie conquered, Orlowski nails TITC win

It won’t be remembered for the intense racing action like we witnessed last year, but the 21st edition of the TITC will go down in the history records as the year the Rookie Michal Orlowski turned up and absolutely nailed the win at the legendary race.  Completing a clean sweep of all four qualifiers, starting the finals from the TQ, Orlowski armed with his Schumacher was the class act gapping the second place qualifier &  defending Champion Bruno Coelho almost immediately in both A-Mains.  Having taken the opening encounter on Saturday, in A2 the Polish ace looked even stronger with Coelho finding himself having to deal with Marc Rheinard on his rear bumper for the entire race.  With almost 3-seconds on his rivals, he cruised to the win and with it the title to become its 11th different champion of the Bangkok race.  A race that is often referred to by drivers as ‘the toughest touring car race in the world’, Orlowski’s performance this weekend was something special and for the World Championship Top Qualifier a major psychological boost.

Michal Orlowski – the TITC Rookie!!

Think Electric Touring Car racing and one name that’s going to come to mind immediately is Michal Orlowski.  It is widely acknowledged that the Schumacher driver is one of the, if not the, fastest drivers in the World but as we get ready to officially go into battle tomorrow (Thursday) at one of the most prized race titles after the World Championship, the Polish driver finds himself with the unusual status of being a Rookie at the 21st running of the legendary TITC.  Given the unique challenges this race presents to drivers, most giving it the title of the world’s toughest race, with its ever changing track conditions this is one race where experience carries huge weight and so its going to be exciting to see how the ‘Rookie’ rises to the challenge of his TITC debut.  Interestingly given the amount of World Championship events the country has also hosted, this year’s TITC appearance also marks Michal’s first time to Thailand so starting our conversation by asking how is finding Bangkok, Michal replied, ‘This is my first time on this part of the globe and it’s an amazing experience so far.  The city is crazy, I have never seen as many scooters.’
