International Dutch F1 Masters – Announcement

International Dutch F1 Masters - Announcement

Hosted at the MACH track in Heemstede, The Netherlands, host of the 2012 IFMAR Worlds, the International Dutch F1 Masters will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of April. Open to racers of Formula cars of all skill levels, the fun race will see free practice on Friday followed by controlled practice and 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday with a final qualifier and triple finals on Sunday. A great opportunity to practice prior to the ETS in Italy the following week, there will also be a raffle on Saturday evening which is a great opportunity to win prizes. Lorenzo Crolla wins at French EP Off-Road Nats Rd1

The opening round of the French 1/10th Electric Off-Road Nationals was held at BCL this past weekend and in the 4WD Buggy class it was Lorenzo Croll who grabbed the TQ by winning three out of the five qualifiers. The triple A-mains then were quite a mixed affair for Lorenzo as he scored 5th place finishes in the first two legs but a first place and a 2 second faster time than his toughest competitor Ludovic Valtier handed Lorenzo the overall win in the third and decisive final. Ludovic Valtier came in 2nd while Julien Formentin rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Green wins at British Indoor National Champs Rd3

Round 3 of the British Indoor National Championships was held at the Swift Raceway in South Yorkshire last weekend. Mark Green (Serpent) took the overall TQ in the Formula class and in the A-final he lead all the way from his pole position on the grid and managed to win the A-main from Mark Burgess (CRC) and Dave Underwood (Xray) who rounded out the podium. The final round will be held at Chesterfield on Sunday 26th April.

Tyler Vik continues with FX

FX has announced that Tyler Vik continues to use FX engines in the 2015 season. Tyler Vik is a well-known, professional off-road racer and he will use the Slovakian engines at all regional, national and international races. Tyler had the following to say:

Despite FX Engines was a brand new in the market, I didn’t hesitate to give them a try, and now I know I made the correct choice. The speed and reliability never let me down during last year and as such I decided to stay with the engine I have full trust in – the FX engine.

Chodzynski and Broad Seal EWS Championship Titles

The final round of the Essex Winter Series took place this weekend. With both championships up for grabs in the UK’s most popular on-road championship, the finale promised to be a fitting end to a great season. In the Zen Racing Modified class, Stefan Chodzynski had one hand on the title, with his Capricorn team-mate Kyle Branson needing to take a maximum points haul, and Stefan to struggle at this final meeting, for the title to go any other way. In the VBC Super Stock standings, Jimmy Maddison needed to TQ and Win the meeting to prevent Tony Broad taking his first EWS title.

Zak Finlay rejoins Team Xray

Xray is happy to welcome the young talented British driver Zak Finlay back to Xray team. The multiple UK National and Schumacher BTCC Champion has in previous years successfully raced Xray as a private driver and after short break now returns back to the Xray team. Zak is fully focused on the electric touring racing and will race the T4 in 2015. Zak had this to say:

I am happy to be back at Xray where the best cars and best support is. Having the chance to join the Xray factory team is an amazing opportunity that I could not let pass. Travis Amezcua takes 2wd at 2015 Chi Town Shootout

Team Durango off-road star and North American Field Representative, Travis Amezcua, has returned from the 2015 Chi Town Shootout with a win and TQ in 2WD Buggy. Racing the DEX210v2 against fast competition, Travis was really happy to add to his previous Chi Town successes by taking the TQ for Team Durango. He then powered home in the 2WD ‘A’ Main final to lift the coveted Shootout trophy once again ahead of Austin Horne in 2nd and Chad Due in 3rd.

1/10 Buggy Worlds Warm-up race – Updated schedule

The organisers of the IFMAR 1/10 Electric Buggy World Championships have released an updated schedule regarding the JMRCA 1/10 EP National Championship that is also the Warm-up race for the Worlds. Following a request made by the JMRCA to not provide practice days prior to the JMRCA Nationals, the practice days prior to the Warm-up race have now been cancelled. Practice is now scheduled for the week following the Nationals which is June 8th to 14th.
