Jack Embling AKA-shoed for 2015

AKA welcome UK young gun, Jack Embling, to the team for the 2015 season. At 17 years young, Jack has already established himself as one of the fastest racers to hail from the United Kingdom. Jack will race with AKA rubber in both 1/8th and 1/10th off-road and has the following to say:

I would like to thank AKA for giving me the opportunity to race with them in 2015. Following some testing with my Mugen the AKA’s were fast and easy to drive so I am really excited for next season. It’s going to be a privilege to be working with a quality brand and team. I had a great 2014 season and will continue to work hard in my racing to achieve even better results. I would also like to thank Mick Craddock for helping to set this package up.

Danish DMSU nationals Rd2 – Report

The 2nd round of the Danish DMSU nationals was held at the Broendby Racing Club in the suburbs of Copenhagen on a small and technical track in the classes of Prostock, LeMans 1/10th pan car, Formula and a FWD. The biggest classes of the weekend were Prostock and Lemans with 22 and 16 drivers respectively. In the Prostock class Mike Gosvig took the overall TQ from Patrick Folman and Soren Boy Holst. Stefan Finnich and Patrick Danielsen rounded out the top 5 result.

Vysin & Kopecky win at Winter Race Morava Rd2

Round 2 of the Winter Race Morava was held at the sport stadium of Jedovice. In the Touring Car Modified class Jirka Vysin came out successful in the A-final in front of Vitezslav Hola and Petr Grof. Jarda Kopecky and Michal Vitamvas rounded out the top 5 result. The Touring Car Stock class had Jarda Kopecky walking away with the win from Karel Kratochvil and Ales Pelikan.

JJ Wang signs with HB-HPI through to 2016

JJ Wang signs with HB-HPI through to 2016

HB announce that American racer JJ Wang has extended his contract to race wit the electric on-road and off-road racing team through to 2016. Now a veteran member of the HB-HPI Racing on-road racing team, JJ has been helping develop the new HB Pro 5 with the help of HB designers and teammate Andy Moore. JJ has also been campaigning the HB D413 at off-road tracks around the world. This is what JJ has to say about the deal:

I am very happy and excited to be able to continue with HB-HPI Racing for the upcoming season. I want to thank the team for providing me with this opportunity and I cant wait to continue racing with the best team and have another enjoyable season. Masters of Foam 2015 – Announcement

Masters of Foam 2015 – Announcement

After a 3 year break the famous Masters of Foam pan car race is back in 2015. Addressing 1/12th scale and World GT racers alike the event will be held in the three classes of 1/12th Modified, 1/12th 10.5T Blinky and 1/10th World GT 10.5T/13.5T Blinky. The race will take place at the RC Nuclea Mol racing club in Mol, Belgium on the weekend of the 1st of February. 1st annual Georgia Indoor Championships – Report

HotShots R/C Raceway played host to roughly 140 entries at the first annual Georgia Indoor Championships. The race schedule was Friday open practice with Saturday having 3 rounds of IFMAR qualifying and extended single mains with bump-ups. Carl Knight and the HotShots crew did a fantastic job providing the racers with a great layout and super consistent surface.

Maifield wins Pro Buggy at the Battle of the Sikest

Maifield wins Pro Buggy at the Battle of the Sikest

SiK Track Designs together with AZRCR have come together for a great battle in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona. Held at the Fear Farm RC Raceway, the event organised by Levi Jackson of SiK Track Designs saw some of the best in 1/8th scale racing battle it out in the ever changing Arizona weather conditions. After a great day of qualifying, Ryan Maifield was sitting TQ in the Pro Buggy and Truggy classes. Ryan then took the first two, 20 minute A-mains to take the overall Pro Buggy Championship. Then coming out and completely showed the field why he was the champion this weekend, lapping all but 4 drivers in the final 20 minute A-main. Overall Adam Drake finished in 2nd and Ryan Lutz 3rd. Starting off the Pro Truggy Mains, Ryan had mechanical issues in the first two mains and came back to win the 3rd main over Lutz. The final podium would be Ryan Lutz taking the overall win, Reno Savoya 2nd and Tanner Stees 3rd.

Elliott Boots renews with Reds Racing

Italian company Reds Racing announce the re-signing of Elliott Boots for another two years through to 2016. The Kyosho front runner and 2012 IFMAR Worlds top qualifier has the following to say about the deal:

I have been very pleased with the fantastic support from Reds Racing in 2014, on and off track. The engines have been so good this year and with the personal track support from Mario and Marco which has been fantastic. Looking forward to 2015/16 with Reds Racing.
