Maifield happy with early form at JConcepts Nats

Making his debut for Team Losi Racing this weekend at the JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals in Chico, California, Ryan Maifield appears to be adapting quickly to his new equipment declaring himself happy with his early form at Outback Raceway. Having sent a shockwave through offroad racing circles with his mid season departure from long time sponsor Team Associated, the Arizona ace has travelled to the third race in the popular five race JConcepts Series well supported with TLR Senior Product Developer Frank Root and Joe Pillars of new electrics sponsor Team Orion both on hand to assist their new star signing.

Elliott Harper joins GForce & Zen Racing

Team Durango driver Elliott Harper has announced he has signed for GForce to run their full line of pit accessories, for the remainder of the 2014 season and beyond. The 2010 World Championship Podium finisher had this to say about the new deal:

Firstly, I would like to thank Mr. Jang and Keith from Muchmore for their support over the years. As we approach this year’s European and World Championships, I felt it was time for a change and, having seen the quality and line-up of the GForce products already in use trackside, I am proud to represent the company and hope to achieve some great results with them. MotoGP World Champion to use Hudy tools

You may know it or not but 2-times MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner has found a new profession after retiring from the fun world of motorbike racing as he recently stepped into RC car racing. Casey will now up his game by exclusively using Hudy tools to wrench on his Yokomo 2WD and 4WD buggies as well as his Hong Nor Pro4 truck. Casey says:

Being a professional sportsmen learned me that if you want to be best you need to work with the best. I was truly impressed by the quality and easy to use of all the Hudy products and there is nothing else I want to use. Either you take your hobby & sport seriously or for fun, there is nothing better than Hudy.

Tomasz Gadnicki wins Polish Oder-Pomerania Cup 2014

German and Polish racers recently gathered in the Polish town of Szczecin to attend at the first ever Oder-Pomerania Cup. Despite some health and tyre problems Tomasz Gadnicki was able to win the 45 minute final in front of Michal Pokora and Danuel Tadeusiak who completed the podium.

Skornia wins at Northern Germany regionals Rd3

The 3rd round of the Northern Germany nitro on-road regionals was held at the MAC Hamburg track. Lennart Skornia was the man to beat during the weekend as he was able to win all four qualifying heats to take the overall TQ. After starting from pole position into the main final, Lennart never looked back to take a close win from Ingo Bobrowski and Christian Schnädter who finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Bruno Coelho takes Portuguese off-road nats Rd4

The 4th round of this year’s Portuguese 1/8th off-road nationals was held at the track of Evora. The Sunday started off wet but temperatures in the 26°C range made the surface dry swiftly. As for the racing action, Xray’s Bruno Coelho and Miguel Matias won their respective semifinals with a wide margin so everything looked set for a team battle in the main final. In the main Bruno took off with no problems right from the start but an engine problem allowed Miguel to take the lead later on but his lead was not for long because Bruno was able to fight back and to take the main win in front of Miguel Matias and Ricardo Monteiro.
