Mugen MTX-6 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car

Mugen MTX-6 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car

Mugen Seiki officially announce their latest 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit in the form of the MTX-6, following our brief introduction over the weekend. The car already proved to be very quick by finishing 2nd at last weekend’s Hockenheim round of the Euro Nitro Series in the hands of electric ace Ronald Völker. The car features a vast amount of improvements over its predecessor, to make for more steering, better traction and improved durability. The kit is based on a new chassis with less cut outs for improved rigidity while a new twin brace system connects the gear box to the radio plate to eliminate much of the flex for a more efficient power transfer. This is further assisted by a new rear bulkhead bracing that connects with the 2-speed shaft bulkhead for more controlled flex of the whole rear end. Other improvements include a new brake system that is now part of the 2-speed layshaft, the 2nd gear runs on 1mm wider gears for better durability and a newly designed front bulkhead makes for better access of the front axle while adding additional rigidity. On top of that the kit will include other refinements such as slight material and design improvements, again to add strength and durability and to help to further increase the car’s overall performance.
