Coelho joins ONE Engines for nitro onroad return

Bruno Coelho will make a return to nitro onroad racing with ONE Engines announcing the former European 1:10 Nitro Tour Car Champion as a team driver.  While best known for his Electric Touring Car exploits, that includes three consecutive World titles, the Portuguese driver began his racing career in nitro racing.  The 2015 European 200mm Champion and 2016 World Finalist, he stopped nitro onroad racing at the end of 2017 after a dominant championship win in the Euro Nitro Series due to commitments in other more important sales categories for then chassis sponsor Xray.  However joining reigning 1:10 and 1:8 Nitro Onroad World Champions Infinity for 2025 to head up its new electric touring car program, he will also combine this with a return to nitro racing as well as its relatively new 1:8 Nitro Offroad project.  On the announcement with One Engines, a brand owned by Italian nitro onroad chassis manufacturer Capricorn, Coelho posted, ‘For many years, I have been passionate about Nitro, in fact, I started my journey with Nitro. Patrício Rossi was one of the people who always supported and helped me behind the scenes, a great friend that has always been there when needed, even though I was never sponsored by any of his brands.  Now, after so many years, we finally have the opportunity to work together which I’m so proud of.  ONE Engines are well known in on-road racing, having achieved numerous major victories, and now they are in the final phase of developing their off-road engines.  I am proud to be part of this exciting project and actively involved in testing to help bring these engines to the highest level of performance.’

Team Associated RC8B4.1 16 Degree KPI Conversion

Team Associated has added an option to tune the front end with either the kit 8 Degree KPI or the optional RC8B3 16 Degree KPI.  All 3 parts needed for a nitro or electric buggy conversion are included in the conversion kit.  The kit includes abn Aluminium Front Shock Tower, RC8B3 Steering Blocks, RC8B4 Upper Link Mount and Instruction Supplement.  With the addition of the parts purchased a la carte, racers can also try the optional 16 Degree KPI on the RC8T4 Truggy.  Each KPI setting has its own strengths and weaknesses, with the 16 Degree KPI excelling in cases where racers need a less responsive front end that will resist direction change as you power through chop and bumps.  It can be an advantage in any case where you struggle to have the front end overpower the rear (usually in bumpy lower grip).

RM2 Razor L.D. 1:8 Offroad Wing

JConcepts, under the RM2 brand of Ryan Maifield, has added two new colour options to its Razor ‘Low Drag’ 1:8 Offroad Wing.  Now available in red and pink, Maifield used the Razor L.D. wing on his Tekno to win the Truggy class at the recent Southern Indoor Championships and with the new RM2 variations the wing should appear around the world on buggies and truggies with matching paint schemes and patterns giving even more options to the racer.  This combination wing includes elements first rising to prominence with polycarbonate wings with the use of a single vertical direction side-dam incorporated into the base wing feature providing a little freedom during highspeed turning and 180-degree corners.  As with all JConcepts wings, the side-dams are recessed for decal placement and increased rigidness.
