Wilck & Andersson take Swedish National titles

Last weekend saw the Swedish 1/10th and 1/12th scale National Championships held at the Borås MRK in Viskafors. In the 1/10th scale modified class it was Tamiya TRF factory driver Viktor Wilck that took the TQ ahead of Xray racer Alexander Hagberg and Magnus Vässmar taking up 2nd and 3rd on the grid. In the finals Wilck could win the first and 2nd legs to secure the overall championship, while Hagberg encountered some problems which meant he couldn’t challenge for the win and had to settle for 2nd in both the opening legs, winning the 3rd after Viktor didn’t take the start. In the 1/12th scale modified class there were some very fast drivers in attendance such as Alexander Andersson, Mikael Fransson and Per-Ola Hård and in qualifying it was Alexander Andersson that took the TQ ahead of Per-Ola Hård in 2nd and Mikael Fransson in 3rd. In the finals CRC driver Andersson won the first and 2nd legs to take overall victory from Rosén Maxx in 2nd and Per-Ola Hård 3rd.

Moore goes fastest in Warsaw

Moore goes fastest in Warsaw

Former World Champion Andy Moore put in a great second qualifier here in Warsaw to go fastest overall bettering the Round 1 TQ time set by the current World Champion Marc Rheinard.  A widening of the front track width transformed the Englishman’s Hot Bodies allowing him to go top of the overall times as he knocked 3.3 seconds off the previous TQ pace. It was a close fought round between Rheinard and Moore but the German had to deal with the front of his bodyshell, run for the first time in this heat, catching on the carpet.  Despite this the Tamiya ace was also able to improve on his opening TQ time by 7/10th.
