Zak Finlay joins Xray Factory Team

Xray have announced that one of the top UK stock drivers Zak Finlay is joining the Xray Factory Team to race the X4 platform. The multiple BRCA National Champion had the following to say about this new deal:

After a few years running with other manufacturers, I am excited to return back to the Xray factory team for 2022 and beyond. Xray continue to lead the industry with continual development of their products and their professional attitude. I am looking forward to being part of that once again. I would like to thank Martin, Mario and Greg (RC Disco) for the great opportunity. I’m excited for the season ahead! If anyone at the track needs support with the X4 platform, please let me know and I will do my best to help.

Michal Orlowski joins Sunpadow batteries

Sunpadow is proud to announce that they have signed a contract with top European driver Michal Orlowski. The Polish driver has achieved many good results in various high-level events, including two European championships, two podiums at the IFMAR Worlds and the double wins in 2019/2020 EOS 1/10 2wd and 4wd class. Michal will use Sunpadow LiPo batteries to participate in all competitions in the coming year. He said, ‘I am very excited about joining the Sunpadow factory team for 2022! The batteries they produce are the cutting edge in the RC industry and I am looking forward to having a lot of success with the Sunpadow products. Thank you to everyone at Sunpadow for this opportunity.’

2021 Midland Indoor Carpet Championship Rd3 – Report

The team returned to Telford Tennis centre for the third round of the 2021/2022 MICC championship this past weekend. A nice mix of flowing corners and technical corners on the track created some great racing all through the field. The track is unchanged in size at a whopping 38 meter by 24 meter on the popular ETS Black carpet. There is lots of grip and plenty of space around the lap which makes it much easier to pass cars and let cars pass you during qualifying. The touring car classes all use the very popular Volante 28 MICC spec tyre (1 set per day) and the F1 class uses the Pit Shimizu (Schumacher versions) 571 and 575 tyres. Control additive is supplied for all racers free of charge and is the CS high grip variant.

Tanner Denney joins SWorkz factory team

SWorkz have announced that top US racer Tanner Denney is joining their team for the next years. Tanner will race SWorkz cars in 1/8 and 1/10 offroad. He had this to say ‘I would like to thank Max and Georg at SWorkz for the incredible opportunity, and the warm welcome. Ginting takes Pro Stock at Indonesian EIC 2021

The annual Indonesian Electric Indoor Cup 2021 was held at Graha Tamiya Circuit, Tangerang. Within 40 entries which participated at TC Pro Stock Class, Mini Class and Front Wheel Class. In the Pro Stock class it was Muhammad Izzah who started from pole followed by Bowie Ginting and Ridhwan Suteja. Bowie would go on to take A1 and A2 to secure the overall win, while A3 went to Ridhwan, securing him 2nd while pole-sitter Izzah ended the race in 3rd.

Coelho wins epic battle with Rheinard at ETS Rd4

ETS Rd4 took place at Chuck’s Raceway in Neumünster/GER last weekend. The ETS crew organised the event under strict Covid-19 rules, and everybody was vaccinated or recovered and an additional daily test was responsible for the maximum safety of all participants. The race saw 220 entries in six classes and the event started with a free practice day on Thursday, followed by 4 rounds of qualifying and triple finals for everybody. In the Matrix Modified class, Bruno Coelho was able to come out of qualifying on top of the field. Marc Rheinard lined up directly behind him with a fantastic driving Michele Manzo in third, and championship leader Ronald Völker in fourth position.

Marco Baruffolo joins Tekno RC

Tekno RC have announced the addition of Italian front-runner Marco Baruffolo to the Tekno RC family. Marco will be racing their full line of vehicles at major events throughout the world and together with their International Team Manager Ilias Arkoudaris, Marco will restart Tekno RC’s European racing presence after International R/C competition was brought to a near halt by the pandemic. The multiple National Champion said, ‘I am really excited to take part at TeknoRC family! Thanks to Daniel and Ilias for this awesome opportunity, I will do my best!’
