MRC Longwy Winter Series Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of the popular Longwy Winter Series was held last weekend, attracting a somewhat lower entry of 80 drivers due to other big races being held in the area the same weekend. This didn’t affect the atmosphere though as it made for lots of track time for everyone. Touring Modified saw Lucas Urbain taking the overall TQ only 0.005 seconds in front of Ronald Völker with Antoine Brunet coming in P3. The A-main again saw Lucas in front and walking away with the win as Ronald came in 2nd overall from Antoine in 3rd.

RC Maker 3D Pro mid-motor wire organiser

Coming from RC Maker is their new 3D Pro wire organiser for mid-motor touring cars. Designed to neaten up mid-motor wiring and suitable for most mid-motor touring cars the accessory provides a route for the fan wire heading to the ESC, or the ESC RX wire heading to the receiver. The organiser does away with exposed wires dangling free over the top of the motor, or jamming them under the motor. The simplistic solution gives the wires a route to follow over the motor, ensuring they stay in place and hidden. The item is designed to suit all mid-motor cars and motor – except the Awesomatix MMX due to its motor mount design. The organiser screws directly to the front shield of the motor and features a slotted screw design to fit all different diameter motors.

Team Associated RC10T3 authentic body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new authentic body shell for the Team Associated RC10T3 truck. One of the most sought-after looks in the vintage RC community is the look of a stadium truck from the 1990’s and racers love the T3. JConcepts, with approval from Team Associated, have reintroduced the genuine RC10T3 body shell to the masses. This allows the faithful to recreate, rebuild and race with authentically styled bodies from the heyday of competitive stadium truck racing. A lot of work went into making this project a reality and thankfully, Team Associated preserved the iconic mould from the 1997 calendar year. JConcepts was able to restore the older generation construction and with a blend of today’s materials, the RC10T3 body is back out on the market. Everyone knows the iconic RC10T styles, the front hood-scoop which is forged over the front shock geometry along with dead-panned front headlights and grille. The neutral cab design with built-in number plates and roll-bar stand-out which enthusiasts know as Team Associated stadium trucks. The T3 body shape was overall much softer than the previous generations which was more durable and fit well into the 90’s racing scene. The lengthy rear spoiler provided some much-needed rear downforce for slippery race conditions. Each package includes window mask, and clear polycarbonate body with rear spoiler but no decal sheet.

Trion YZ-2 quick release battery mount

Trion have introduced their new quick release battery mount for the Yokomo YZ-2 series of buggies. The set includes machined 4mm carbon fibre battery locators that feature hooks to utilise O-rings to strap the battery into the chassis. Doing so allows for quicker battery changes without the need to use additional tools while also allowing the battery to float a bit within the mount which makes for more natural torsional flex of the chassis. Last but not least allow the O-rings to use batteries of different height without having to adjust and braces or other stationary battery locators. The battery mount must be used with the Yokomo Z2-002SPT side plates.
