Team Associated B6.2 & B6.2D Team Kit 2WD buggies

Team Associated have unveiled their new B6.2 and B6.2D Team Kit 2WD buggies. The B6 platform introduced the use of two separate chassis configurations and the new B6.2 continues this theme. The B6.2 will be the buggy of choice for high-grip carpet or turf track surfaces with its 3-gear Laydown transmission assembly and anti-roll bars for optimal mass balance. The B6.2D includes both 4-gear Layback and Laydown transmission assemblies to fine-tune mass balance to track conditions; add to that the addition of +1 Ackermann plates and gull wing suspension arms to tune the steering for razor-sharp feel and control. Both cars share many great features, such as an easy-access differential, outer rear hinge pins captured with bolt head and locknut for increased durability, new symmetric rear arms that can be flipped to allow an in- between rear shock mounting position, and a new slipper assembly. The setups and tuning parts remain interchangeable between the two configurations.

MR33 T4 single bellcrank steering system

Coming from Marc Rheinard’s MR33 brand is a new single bellcrank steering system for the Xray T4 series of touring cars. The set makes use of a machined aluminium centre bridge that mounts onto the chassis using the original dual bellcrank mounting holes with the new single bellcrank steering promising a very precise steering feel without having too much overall slop. To change the Ackermann position on the steering rack, simply undo the centre ball stud and move the steering arm forward or backward. The available positions are laser marked for easy identification and due to the rippled surface the steering arm will always stay in the correct position after the ball stud got tightened again. The set comes with two different aluminium inserts to adjust the inner ball stud distance at 8.0mm or 8.5mm settings and three carbon fibre braces on top of the centre part ensure a reliable steering end point adjustment. For the perfect stealthy look all aluminium parts come black anodised.

HB Racing working on new Pro-XX touring car

HB Racing are currently developing the follow-up model of their Pro5 electric touring car kit according to an image that surfaced on social media. Utilising what appear to be Pro5 suspension components the chassis is of a mid layshaft design, meaning the motor still remains in the rear part of the chassis with the layshaft and main gear shifted further towards the middle of the car. This however is just one of several different designs HB Racing and Zero Tribe founder Kagayama are currently working on. We bring you more details on the project as they become available.
