MCCM Mulhouse track faces closure

The French Mini Car Club Mulhouse track, located close to the Swiss and German boarders, currently faces threats of being closed by the government. Built on government provided land in 1988, the club of around 40 members had a busy 2017 season as they hosted both the ENS and the EFRA 1/10th 200mm European Championship and heavily invested beforehand to create a top notch facility. It is understood that the land will fell victim of new infrastructure projects and that the members currently are not allowed to use the property. In order to raise awareness of the matter, the club has started a petition here with the hope to change the mind of the town’s government in the case of a large number of signatures.

Black edition MyLaps transponders

Team Associated have introduced black edition MyLaps lap counting transponders. The Hybrid (2-wire) transponder is the same size and features many of the same specs as the RC4 transponder, but it is backwards compatible with older decoder boxes. This transponder does not support car ID numbers. It is compatible with all AMBrc2 decoder boxes and MyLaps RC3 and RC4 decoder boxes. The RC4 (3-wire) transponder is the latest in the line of transponders from MyLaps. The RC4 transponder supports car ID numbers so you can have the same transponder number in all your cars, with a different ID for each. The RC4 transponder also gives additional telemetry data such as voltage to the transponder and transponder temperature each time the loop is crossed. This transponder will only work on RC4 decoder boxes with version 4 firmware or higher.

The plate can be used in pretty much every vehicle that accepts shorty-style LiPo batteries and it comes in handy to fine-tune the weight distribution or to add weight when using lightweight low centre of gravity shorty packs. The plate also lowers the car’s overall centre of gravity for improved cornering performance on both low and high grip surfaces.

MCD IBS internal bypass shock system

MCD Racing from Turkey have introduced their all-new IBS internal bypass shock absorbers for their range of off-road and on-road large scale kits. An industry first in the large scale scene, the dampers feature a fully working piggyback reservoir that that acts as a volume compensator for the overflowing oil as the shock absorber compresses. Valves allow for precise compression and rebound control with the compression and rebound circuit featuring auto-adaptive dual-way check valves that allow the oil to by-pass independently. The all-alloy shocks come anodised for looks and wear, they are adjustable externally and come as 64mm or 47mm stroke off-road and 26mm stroke on-road variants.

I wish to announce that after 22 great years with the company, from the 25th of January I will no longer be working for Yokomo. I want to give a big thank you to everyone at Team Yokomo, my co-workers, team and especially to Tom Yokobori for what has been an amazing opportunity. I also want to give a special thank you to Ronald Volker with whom I have worked so closely over the past 9 year and achieved so much together.
