RC-Square Parsec pan car alloy side spring retainers

RC-Square have introduced new aluminium side spring retainers for the Parsec pan cars. Machined from aluminium and sporting a black surface coating for wear, the spring retainers offer greater precision, they hole the side springs more secure and also allow for easier adjustment. The retainers come as pairs and include suitable mounting grub screws.

Xray XB4’20 multi wheelbase aluminium chassis

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4’20 is a multi wheelbase aluminium chassis. Machined from high-quality 2.5mm 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised for surface protection the chassis allows to use two different wheelbase settings, a shorter one for increased car rotation in corners on high-grip tracks while the longer wheelbase setting, that shifts the rear bulkhead towards thew rear, increases stability in low-traction conditions. The chassis also features strategically placed milled-out section to achieve the desired flex characteristics without harming overall stability.

2019 Top Gun Shootout – Report

San Diego, California based SDRC RC Raceway hosted the 2019 Top Gun Shootout last weekend, drawing nearly 270 entries. While Matthew Gonzales and Tanner Ashmore took home wins in the 13.5T 4WD and 17.5T Expert 2WD Buggy class respectively, it was Broc Champlin who snatched the 2WD Mod Buggy title, coming from 3rd on the grid. 2nd place qualifier, Dustin Evans would retain his runner-up spot after the single 10-minute A-main as top qualifier, Aydin Horne had to settle for 3rd overall, making it an all-Team-Associated top 3.

Xtreme Racing T4’20 carbon fibre front bumper holder

Xtreme Racing have introduced their new carbon fibre front bumper holder with brace for the Xray T4’20 touring car. Machined from high-quality 2.0mm carbon fibre, the upper bumper plate was designed to contact the front bulkhead to prevent the chassis from breaking during impacts. The bumper holder was designed to use the stock body mounts and does not work with the offset body posts.

Yeah Racing M08 carbon fibre optionals

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the Tamiya M08 M-chassis kit are several new carbon fibre option parts. The range includes front and rear damper stays, a front bumper plate as well as a body mount base set. All parts are a direct fit and while looking a lot better than the standard plastic items, they also help with overall rigidity and precision, adding to the overall performance – in case of the damper stays – while also helping with more secure body mounting for less wobbling and thus better aerodynamics, in case of the front bumper plate and body mount base set.

Volker & Donath win at EWS International

The 2019 edition of the EWS International took place last weekend. Ronald Volker initially set the pace during qualifying in the Modified class, and then on Sunday morning made it a clean sweep by topping all four rounds with his development Yokomo chassis. Behind him, long time Marc Rheinard secured second on the grid for Infinity, the German also running a prototype car as Infinity continue to test their upcoming IF14-II. Lucas Urbain was the big mover on Sunday morning, with third place in Q4 moving the Frenchman up to third on the A Final grid. Yannic Prumper and Christopher Krapp rounded out the overall top five, with the Xray trio of Alexander Hagberg, Bruno Coelho and Elliott Harper not able to replicate the pace they had shown throughout practice and having to start the finals from deep in the field. The A Final line up was completed by former event champion Kyle Branson, and Awesomatix’s Loic Jasmin. Alex Thurston was the unlucky BQ driver, missing out on the final place on a tie-break with Loic by three-tenths of a second.

Mario Spiniello wins at Antonio Calce Memorial race

The second Antonio Calce Memorial race was held at the TQR track in Teverola, Italy. In the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring class Mario Spiniello set the pace from the get go and he also took the overall TQ after the qualifiers. In the A-main Mario would lead from tone to tone despite having two additional pit stops for refuelling. Behind him it was Esposito Lauri Biaqio in 2nd and De Simon Giuseppe completed the top 3 podium results.

Reunion Island 3-hour endurance race – Report

The Champ Fleury track in cooperation with Modelisme Reunion Racing held a 3-hour 1/8th Nitro Rallygame endurance race on Reunion Island last weekend. The teams consisted of at least three drivers and in the end and after an entertaining 180 minutes it was Team Megafun with the win from Team Serpent in 2nd and Team MRCB in 3rd.
