RC-Project clutch bell retaining screw

RC-Project have introduced their new “Limited Edition” titanium clutch bell retaining screw for 1/8th off-road and single-speed GT vehicles. Machined from highest quality Grade 5 6Al4V titanium the screw will offer different thermal expansion compared to steel, making it possible to undo or fasten the bolt even when the engine is still hot after a run. In addition the new design of the fastener prevents it from rubbing on the clutch bearing or end bell which reduces heat built up while adding to the overall durability of the whole system. With a screw head thickness of 3mm the clutch bell retainer also presents collisions with the fuel tank in tight surroundings. What also makes the screw stand out is the 5.5mm socket head that allows for much easier and more reliable assembly and easier removal compared to using a classic 2.5mm hex head. As each screw features a unique number, RC-Project gives a 1-year warranty on the fastener that is available separately or in pairs.

Smokem XQ1 split lower aluminium bulkheads

Available soon from Smokem are new lower split design aluminium bulkheads for the Xpress XQ1. Offering vastly improved flex characteristics, the parts allow the car to generate improved grip while offering a wider tuning window. Another key difference to the stock bulkheads is the use of flanged bearings for mounting the swaybars to the bulkheads. This allows the bearings to be inserted from the centre of the car for easier installation and smoother operation. The bulkheads will be available as a complete set of four with bearings included as well as separately, and they suit both the standard XQ1 and mid-pulley converted XQ1.

Sunpadow Platin Series 5200mAh Slim Pack LiPo battery

Sunpadow have officially introduced their all-new Platin Series 5200mAh Slim Pack LiPo battery pack. Of a revolutionary new design the hardcase battery is only 36mm wide which is about 24 percent narrower than a traditional 47mm battery and at 5200mAh capacity the pack weighs in at only 246g, however the major benefit of the slim battery is a greatly improved weight balance compared to a standard size battery pack as it optimises the weight distribution especially of today’s mid-motor touring cars. The Slim Pack battery was used by Xray and Sunpadow factory driver, Bruno Coelho to win the Touring Modified class last weekend’s SIGP event in Xiamen, China in pretty dominant fashion. The battery measured 139x36x25.1mm, it is built using high-performance 65C/130C cells and with 5200mAh it offers more than enough runtime even for power-hungry modified classes.
