Tobias Vogel wins at Longwy Winter Series opener

The opening round of the popular Longwy Winter Series was held last weekend in Longwy, France. The club, which is situated in the northern part of France, laid out a nice and flowing carpet track with the event drawing more than 100 entries and the biggest class of the weekend was the Touring 13.5 Superstock category with over 50 entries alone. After the triple A-mains and When the dust had settled, it was Tobias Vogel with the overall victory from Florian Joos in 2nd, the latter having to cope with a power deficit in A2 and A3 but was able to secure the overall runner-up spot with a win in the third A-main as Alexander Becker would round out the top 3 results.

Reds Racing signs Burak & Berkan Kilic

Reds Racing have announced the signing of young and talented Burak and Berkan Kilic to their factory team for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The two brothers will be using Reds Racing nitro engines and electronics and will be attending several important races in the next months. Burak and Berkan are both really enthusiastic and proud of being part of Reds Racing team.

Absima universal transmitter hardcase

Absima have introduced their new universal transmitter hardcase bag that can be adapted for most pistol grip radios on the market. Measuring a total of 350x250x150mm and sporting inner dimensions of 320x220x130mm the hardcase bag is equipped with a pre-cut inner foam whose small blocks can be taken out to adapt the foam to pretty much every transmitter size and shape. The lid of the hardcase is equipped with zipped net inserts that allow to store accessories or manuals and a detachable belt rounds out the package.

Florida Nitro Series Rd2 – Report

Race 2 of the Florida Nitro Series as held at the Arcadia-based Nugget’s Ranch Raceway this past weekend in pretty low temperatures. In the 1/8th Pro class it was Bobby Horan with the win in the 30-minute A-main event, some two seconds in front of Tony Rice as Rafael Angulo completed a very close top 3 finish just two seconds behind Tony.

Nicholas Lee takes Indonesian Touring Mod title

The Indonesian Touring Car Championship was held in Jakarta this past weekend. In the Touring Modified class it was Yokomo’s Nicholas Lee with the overall TQ from Bowie Ginting, Izzah M., and Ronny Suwarto, all of which scored at least one round TQ. After the triple A-main events it was still Nicholas on top as he won A1 and A2 for an early overall as the Infinity duo of Peter Antonijzs and Izzah M. came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Yusuke Sugiura crowned JMRCA Nitro Buggy Champion

The Futaba Buggy Track in Ichihara, Japan hosted the 2019 JMRCA 1/8th Buggy National Championships. Mugen’s Yusuke Sugiura grabbed the overall top qualifier spot and he would also walk away with the title after the main final, securing his third consecutive national Nitro Buggy title. Yusuke left behind his Mugen teammates, Kouki Kato and Kenji Tsuruta in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Michele Manzo TQs & wins at Swiss Indoor Champs Rd1

The opening round of the Swiss Electric Indoor Nationals was held at the FAMA track in Bulle this past weekend. In Touring Modified it was Awesomatix’s Michele Manzo with a clean sweep in the qualifiers, leaving behind Claude Hollinger in 2nd after the four rounds. The triple A-mains then again saw Michele checking out in all three legs for the overall win from Team Magic’s Philipp Huber 2nd and HB Racing’s Kevin Zwahlen in 3rd.

SARDA National EP Off-road Championship Rd4 – Report

The Ultra Raceway of Pretoria, South Africa was host to the 4th and final round of the SARDA National Electric Off-road Championship last weekend. Track was very challenging with a good mixture of open high speed and tight technical sections and also adding to the challenge was its bumpy high grip carpet surface while rocketing temperatures also made it tricky. All this provided the drivers with some of the most exciting racing seen this year with everyone hunting the top step of the podium. The top qualifiers would be Hein Kotze in 2WD Modified, Charles Hollander in 4WD Modified, Wikus Coetzer in Stadium Trucks and 2WD Short Course Trucks as well as Ian Cloud in 2WD Stock and Shaun Haasbroek in 4WD Stock. When the dust had settled after the A-mains, it was Charles Hollander with the win in 2WD Mod Buggy from Hein Kotze in 2nd and Abri Kohn inn 3rd.
