Michael Kuntz TQs & wins at Fall Classic

Mobile Hobbies of Shelby, North Carolina held their Fall Classic race last weekend. In Sportsman Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Michael Kuntz with the overall TQ and win, leaving behind Dennis Allison in 2nd. Luke Demming in 3rd would round out the all-Mugen podium.

MST MS-01D re-release RTR drift car

MST have announced the re-release of their popular MS-01D ready-to-run drift car. Discontinued for about three years, the 4WD front-mid motor chassis now again makes an appearance, decked out with MST’s own JZ3 and EG6 body shells. The car features an independent multi-link type double A-arm suspension, front diff and rear spool 4WD drivetrain, fluid-filled shock absorbers and a moulded chassis with an air duct system for efficient cooling of the brushed motor. Includes in the set also come a waterproof Hobbywing speed controller and a Futaba steering servo. The JZ3 and EG6 bodies are available in different colours in gluing red, blue, black and white.

Adrean Zavala wins at Mexican GT Nationals Rd5

The Pista Radio Control track of Queretaro, Mexico played host to round 5 of the Mexican On-road Nationals recently. SWorkz’s Adrean Zavala was in control of things in the 30-minute GT class A-main event, as he brought home the win some three laps in front of Xray’s Carlos Preciado in 2nd. Gera Moreno (SWorkz) would round out the top 3 podium result another three laps down.

Vishal Singh TQs & wins at Heart of America Series Rd7

The 7th and final round of the Heart of America Series was held last weekend in 1/8th IC Track, 1/8th GT and 1/10th 200mm classes. In 1/8th GT it was Vishal Singh with the overall TQ and he would also bring home the win in the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Tim Kristl II in 2nd, some 3.3 seconds behind.

Avid B74 -2mm carbon fibre rear shock tower

Made for the Team Associated B74 4WD buggy is Avid’s new -2mm carbon fibre rear shock tower. The shock stay is made from 100 percent carbon fibre and designed to limit the shock up travel to keep the dogbone from hitting the outdrives. The tower is machined from 4.0mm thick material, it maintains the stock shock angles and it has two small drill holes under the centre hole of the wing mount for notification.

Slovakian 1/10th Buggy Championship Rd8 – Report

The 8th and final round of the 1/10th Off-road Championship was held in Bratislava recently. Right from the start the weather looked to play a factor and after Q1 it started to rain slightly but got worse over the day meaning the organisers had to call the race a day before the finals. This meant Lacko Toth would take the win in 4WD Buggy with Peter Tauber coming in 2nd and Milos Svihran ending the day on the 3 spot.

JConcepts B74 carbon fibre & titanium optionals

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Team Associated B74 buggy are new carbon fibre and titanium optionals. Starting with the carbon fibre parts, new are front and rear shock towers that are of a ribbed and chamfered design. The 4mm thickness, genuine carbon fibre material is durable, lightweight and features the JConcepts milled sections which help maintain strength while minimising weight. The three standard B74 shock positions remain for quick and steady adjustments in the correct position for the front and rear shock geometry. The towers feature the JConcepts treatment of ribbed sections and chamfered edges on the surface of the race-proven material. The towers are complete and designed to accept the stock mounting hardware.
