leemartininfinity

Following yesterday’s announcement regarding Lee Martin leaving Mugen, Team Infinity have today confirmed that the British driver will be joining their International team. A World class off road driver, a former multiple European champion and multi time Worlds finalist who has been competing at the highest level for many years, he joins the Infinity team, which up until this point has focused on onroad, to help work on the company’s upcoming 1/8th offroad project. Lee had the following to say about the deal:

It’s a pleasure to be joining the Creation Model / Infinity team. The team infrastructure and their desire to succeed at the highest possible standard not only excites me but inspires me. Assisting in the development stage of the new 1/8th off road range is an opportunity that I could not miss, having the chance to work with Miura San to produce the most competitive vehicles we can with no compromises. Thank you to Kenji San for the chance to be apart of something special. Work starts now!

Pro-Line Transistor front & Electron rear in X2

Pro-Line Transistor front and Electron rear in X2 compound

Pro-Line have introduced a number of new additions to existing ranges of tires for 1/10th scale, the first being the Transistor 2.2” 2wd front in Pro-Line’s long wear X2 (medium) compound. The Transistor tread is the new kid on the block with 1’s and 0’s for tread which provides good, consistent steering and is ideal for outdoor blue groove conditions. The Electron 2.2” rear gets the same treatment with it too available in the long wear X2 compound. The Electron features connected tire tread technology to improve traction and wear on even the most abrasive of outdoor track conditions. The square center pins laid out between the connected tread provide consistent forward and side bite even when the track gets dusty.

Yokomo YZ-4 double joint universal shafts

Yokomo has released these new front double joint universal shafts for their YZ-4 buggy. Aimed at use on high grip surfaces that require more steering, higher acceleration and harder braking they are supplied with special bearings, which replace the current inner bearing in the steering block. The new shafts help reduce the friction loss while steering and allow for smoother cornering which in turn reduces lap times.
